Question about purchasing a camera?
I don't even know where to start lol. I've always liked photography and I've been taking pictures with my phone. But I know this is a hobby that will last me for a lifetime.
I was looking at cameras and I really like Nikon cameras however not sure what would be a good camera for beginners. Hoping someone could give me some insight or recommend a website or anything. I've looked at D3200, D5100, and D7000. Also supposedly there's a D5200 that's come out everywhere except the US.
I think I would really like the D5200 but I've waited so long to buy a camera, should I wait patiently? And are there other camera's I should be researching. I'm also happy with the D3200.
Photography is like a foreign language to me. So any help would be really appreciated.
Mainly just knowing what camera to buy so I can start taking pictures and sharing them!
I'm super passionate about wanting to do this so thanks in advance.
1 AnswerPhotography8 years agoWhat are some fun places to take a two year old child?
Okay, so I'm in a secret santa game and the person likes to spend time with their two year old and they themselves are a doctor. So I was wondering what are some fun places that a 2 year old and mom can enjoy themselves during the weekend that I could get tickets too. I'm not a parent hence why I'm asking for advice. And disney world is out of my budget unfortunately ;(.
If it helps I live in Oklahoma.
Thanks for your advice in advance.
6 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoCalculate Equilibrium Pressures Hydrogen Iodide Synthesis Without Temperature?
Assume that gaseous hydrogen iodide is synthesized from hydrogen gas and iodine vapor at a temperature where the equilibrium constant is 1.00 * 10^2. Suppose HI at 5.000 * 10^-1 atm, H2 at 1.000 * 10^-2 atm, and I2 at 5.000 * 10^-3 atm are mixed in a 5.000-L flask.
Calculate the equilibrium pressures of all species.
How would you solve this problem?
1 AnswerChemistry1 decade agoHow should I proceed after contacting a possible scam?
I was so lured in by possibly getting a little extra cash that I gave my name and cell phone number and a secondary email address to a craigslist ad that was one of those work at home. I didn't realize the mistake I made until I received an email in which I was asked to send my social security card and I9 and w4 form in.
Basically all they got from me was name, junk email address, and more crucially cell phone number. In addition, my name is not common and actually is rare.
I'm looking for some advice
3 AnswersAbuse and Spam1 decade agoWould you enjoy a basketball game without analysts?
I don't know about others but sometimes when there's a technical problem (not very often) but occasionally the analysts can't speak and you just watch a game without the commentary.
Does anyone find that enjoyable? Just to hear the game like you would at an arena on television. Maybe not every game but to shake things up just have a couple of non-commentary games.
Muting is not the same thing because I still like sound.
9 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWould/Could you pay Eight Thousand Dollars to watch basketball?
I just heard Craig bring up the story of a person who heckled Kobe about not playing in the game despite the fact that she paid a bundle to watch the game.
I can''t imagine that kind of money lol. Clearly the recession hasn't dented the American elite.
3 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoIf you were the Lakers GM would you even consider signing LeBron James?
This isn't a Kobe vs. LeBron comparison.
However it seems like a no-brainer to average fans. Both Kobe and LeBron are free agents this summer. It seems like the Lakers could easily sign LeBron if they wanted to instead of Kobe or even sign both which is highly unlikely.
Do you think the Lakers have even remotely given this a thought or do they have that much loyalty to Kobe (who did demand a trade a couple seasons back)
11 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWill Dwight Freeney heal before the Super Bowl?
This question's probably been asked. however I wanted to also ask about why the media isn't criticizing the Colts coaching staff for leaving him in there with two minutes left in the game despite having a convincing two touchdown lead.
Really talk about the irony that the Colts didn't want their key players injured so they gave up on the regular season. However when they were up by a convincing margin they still kept Freeney in. Of course taking a player out is easier said than done considering the huge stakes of the game.
6 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoWould you change the NBA all star voting process?
Though it's not official: there's a strong chance that Iverson will be a starting guard in the Eastern Conference.
And a likelihood that McGrady will be a starting guard in the Western Conference.
I've actually read comments that state that McGrady and Iverson deserve their all star spots over the likes of Durant, Rondo, and others. Of course Durant is a forward that's beside the point.
However I'm a huge fan of the all star game, However I honestly don't understand how McGrady who hasn't played a minute of relevant basketball will be the starter of the All star west squad ahead of Nash, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Chauncey Billups, Tony Parker. Honestly I could name backup guards who deserve the spot.
I don't blame McGrady, and I certainly don't blame China because if anything it shows that they are loyal to the team they support even though I certainly didn't vote pistons players as candidates.
In the long run it's not a big deal just a exhibition game. However very unfair to deserving all stars that Iverson and McGrady are starters.
9 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWhich superbowl matchup would be most compelling?
For instance, Vikings vs. Jets. The two underdogs and the fact that the Favre didn't think he could win a superbowl in New York so he orchestrated his move to Minnesota.
Saints vs. Colts. Two best QB's all season long, two high powered offenses.
15 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoI really wanted a Sony E Reader however am disappointed at its functions?
Would someone have a suggestion at what is something that can carry a lot of books and has a lot of functions
I didn't open the e reader and I just don't find any uses for it after reading some review. Main question is there anything out there I could use?

1. hinder leukocytic action in the rest of the body
2. prevent overreaction of the inflamed tissue and possible autoimmune reactions.

Does it have two double bonds with oxygen or three?
4 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoCould someone explain electric potential?
if the potential is generated from a positive charge it has a positive potential?
if potential is generated from negative charge it has a negative potential
So say that you move an electron from a negative charge starting from r = 2 to r =4.
Since like charges repel is the work done to move the electron negative?
So my question is positive work means work was done on the system (charge) and negative work means work was done by the system?
Where does that negative work go?
1 AnswerPhysics1 decade agoFunction of salt bridge in electrochemical cells?
Salt bridges are usually immersed in a solution of some ionic compound.
If there was no salt bridge. That means that electrons will have a hard time leaving the anode due to an excess of the positive ion that is produced from the oxidation.
Is that basically the function of the salt bridge?
And for the reduction potential it seems that the excess negative charge would repel the electrons
This is for galvanic cells
5 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoEnergy of electron vs. distance from nucleus?
I asked this before but I got conflicting answers.
Does the Energy of an electron increase or decrease as it's distance increases from the nucleus.
At zero energy the electron has been completely separated.
It is easier to remove an electron that is far away from the nucleus.
And When an electron absorbs electromagnetic radiation the energy absorbed causes it to increase an energy level.
If someone could "tie" all those concepts I would very very much appreciate it.
I've been trying to understand the Bohr model whose equation E = -Rh/n^2
Where z is the charge = 1. z^2/n^2 = 1 and Rh is a constant
But what I don't understand is the if the energy increases why is it easier to pull of an electron.
Again thanks for all the aforementioned help. I've looked in my chem book/review book. Just haven't found a clear definition.
2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoWhat happens to energy of an electron as its distance is increased from the nucleus?
Does HIgher Energy Level mean the electron has more energy?
Thanks for any clarifications
3 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoQuestion regarding circular motion and tangential speed?
I have a review book that doesn't give the answers to some of the questions. At least I can't find it.
The question is: What happens to the centripetal acceleration of a space shuttle, if it goes into a higher orbit but keeps its tangential speed fixed?
I think it would decrease because the orbital radius increases
a(c) = v^2/r where v is fixed and r is increased.
My second question is???
I know that normally in circular motion the angular speed (omega) remains constant. However if the velocity remains fixed does that mean the angular speed changed???
Thanks for any help with this problem
