If you were the Lakers GM would you even consider signing LeBron James?
This isn't a Kobe vs. LeBron comparison.
However it seems like a no-brainer to average fans. Both Kobe and LeBron are free agents this summer. It seems like the Lakers could easily sign LeBron if they wanted to instead of Kobe or even sign both which is highly unlikely.
Do you think the Lakers have even remotely given this a thought or do they have that much loyalty to Kobe (who did demand a trade a couple seasons back)
My mistake lol, it looks like Kobe exercised his option.

If i was a GM for the Los Angeles Lakers i would defintely attemp this move because it brings youth and expirience in one place combained with great skills, leadership, defense and easy points. If they don't care about stats so much and if they don't have fight of who should be the go to head guy that team with one Pau Gasol as compliment to those two would own

A guy like LeBron James who skipped out on tipping a restaurant a few hundred dollars wouldn't sacrifice millions to play on an elite team, that's just how he is. The Lakers are well over the salary cap, and they would avoid giving both players a large contract considering the Hard Cap coming in the future.
There is no way that both players are playing on the Lakers, because Kobe would not appreciate the fact that he is no longer able to do what he does best. There would be two players on the same team demanding 15+ shots per game, and then you have to throw in the needs of Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, Shannon Brown, Ron Artest, and the whole bench. LeBron would clog up the paint with all of his drives, a game plan that doesn't work well with two seven footers.
Kobe is pretty close to getting a contract extension anyways.

well, Kobe already got a contract extenction, and besides LeBron James and Kobe Bryant are great players and they score a lot to get an MVP. If you put them on the same team, they will be ball-hogs and one or the other will not score as much as they use to. In the Olympics it was different because there were other great players. So, No individually, the players would not be as good anymore as they were alone. That would take away either of there chances to get an MVP or anything, so the team and the players would not like it so no sending Lebron to the Lakers.

. If the Lakers upload Shannon Brown ($2 million) or some funds and/or a draft determination ... The Cavs won't in any respect get honest fee for James, yet listed decrease than are another deals .... a demonstration and commerce? under no circumstances. Cleveland pays him greater to stay in a prevailing ... there will be no "throw ins" in a commerce for Lebron James,

No way they have the cap or money to sign Lebron. I guarantee Kobe will want to stay in L.A.

Yes ,But Kobe will resign!(Its already a done deal)
If Lebron wants to win a title ,He should consider signing with the Lakers.

They wouldn't be able to sign both of them. LeBron wouldn't go to the west anyway.
