P₁ is the pressure of the Hg column and P₂ that of the CCl4 column.
P₁=ρ₁*g*h₁=P₂= ρ₂* g* H;.
-> H= ρ₁*h₁/ρ₂ ;ρ₁=13.55*10³ g/dm³
Plug in your numbers and get H≈ 2386 m
