What do I write on my resume to show that a former employer is now out of business?

I worked there for over 5 years, so I really don't want to leave that experience off my resume, but there's no way for a potential future employer to check employment. What should I do?

I just put the name of the company as it was when I worked there. In my industry, a lot of businesses (law firms) have disappeared or changed names as a result of mergers or just simply going under. I've never had anyone say boo about listing a company that isn't around anymore. If it gets to the point that they are checking references, I will tell them then that X Co. isn't around anymore, but my supervisor is now working at Y Co., and here is her phone number.

Don't leave it off, just fill in all the relevant details including the last trading address but after the previous employers name write No Longer Trading.

There are not from now on any consumer-friendly unethical practices. to declare that there are skill that each and every individual are unethical. whilst one does some factor that aspects one an earnings, it is not from now on unavoidably unethical. figuring out to purchase a product from somebody distinctive than me, or hiring somebody distinctive than me, whilst i desire to sell my factor, or do my factor for you isn't inherently unethical. Treating all persons the two even with which part of a border they have been born on or stay to tell the tale isn't inherently unethical whether it does grant me a organisation earnings. Giving a pal a job for which somebody else is greater efficient qualified isn't a ethical concern if i'm proprietor of the corporate, whether i understand that my buddy is proper qualified.

List it anyway, it's the truth. Someone at your new job may have heard of them.
