That isn't always the case... Basically, that means they are trying to make you feel better about rejecting you. For the most part, it is true that you are a nice guy if they say so. But that isn't the reason why they are rejecting you. They're trying to make you not feel quite as bad for turning you down.

Sometimes, I find that if I have to use this excuse with a guy, I'm sorry that I don't like them, because they are such a nice guy. Basically, you have good qualities to be a boyfriend, but you need a little something more.

Otherwise, if this isn't in a rejection situation, they might like you :) They're interested in getting to know you better.

in my book, yes, they are fishing for a different catch (some would say catch and release...) I know there are many out there who would disagree, but the 18-25 crowd is very difficult to interest in relationships.

You can either go with it (devil may care attitude), date a few years older, or look in different places to meet quality gals. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to date someone who doesn't look like your last girlfriend.

I guess cause when they see how nice you are thats all they could say to descibe you lol or it could also mean so many things..or probably they just say that so they wont hurt your feelings hope that helps.
