Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.

The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin.

Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.

She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved.. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple out ran Peter and got there first. He stopped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day.

The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every

Jewish boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.

Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm finished."

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because..........

The folded napkin meant,

"I'm coming back."

And you are correct, and he did come back, many times and taught his disciples things that they were not to share with the world but they did and the world killed them as it crucified Jesus, who's spirit comes upon those who do as he did and praise the Father. But many praise Jesus over the Father. They can't even keep the first commandment, which says, we shall have no other God before me. They've made Jesus a God, as the Hebrews built a golden calf to worship after Moses was gone for a elongated time to Mr. Sinai. Jesus has become the Golden Calf of modern man, and yet many would hate what I've just said, If they carry hate, that alone proves they carry not the spirit of Christ in them, who is the Holy Ghost sent by the Father to his peoples descendants who clamor for truth away from the false prophets of our times.

Remember, Jesus said, that there is one flock and one Shepherd. That flock are those who belong to Gods true church which lies within ones heart and mind, which is invisible, and the Shepherd is Christ's spirit sent to verify truth taught by the Father to those who follow

The worlds truths pertaining to God, the Father has changed through all the worlds visible religions that have plagued man since Adam and Eve first sinned. Man is the one who is constantly changing. For the Father has always stayed the same throughout eternity. The Father is about to make his return in ways, that will shake this world like it's never been shook before and those who haven't recieved the protection of the Father through his truth which is once again upon this world, they shall not be left standing after those days, which is sooner than many will ever believe, let alone be prepared for.

For century's The Jewish people were referred to as the Jesus Killer's. And anti-Jesus. certain it truly is actual that Jesus change into truly a Jew. in spite of the undeniable fact that the Jew's did not kill Jesus the Roman's did that. Do you're saying that to each of the Italian's. Your statement is and may want to be offensive to all and sundry. and under no circumstances considered to be in good flavor.
