When is Tradition going to be restored back into the Church of Christ, the Catholic Church?

Any good Catholic in his right mind believes that there should be a restoration of all of the liturgical forms, public and private devotions, and presentation of Catholic teachings which prevailed in the Roman Catholic Church before the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965).

These are the changes that have taken place in Catholic teaching and practice since the Council:

A new ecclesiology which fails to recognise the Catholic Church as the one true church established by Jesus Christ, and instead holds that the true church "subsists in" the Catholic Church in an unclear way. This contradicts Pope Pius XII's Mystici Corporis Christi and other papal documents.

A new ecumenism that is aiming at a false pan-Christian religious unity which does not require non-Catholics to convert to the Catholic faith. This is contradicting the teachings of the Bible, Pope Pius XI's Mortalium Animos, Pope Pius XII's Humani Generis and other documents.

An acceptance, in the Second Vatican Council's decree Dignitatis Humanae, of the principle of religious liberty, which has been clearly condemned by Pope Pius IX in Quanta Cura and the Syllabus of Errors.

A new rite of Mass, which is refered to as the "Novus Ordo". The New Right is de-emphasizing the central Catholic doctrines that the Mass is a true sacrifice and that the bread and wine employed in the rite truly become the body and blood of Jesus Christ. The revised liturgy is man-centered rather than God-centered; that it is less beautiful and spiritually edifying than the earlier liturgy; and that it omits certain texts that mention hell, miracles or sin. The revisions in the liturgy are displeasing to God, and that it is often celebrated improperly to the extent of being sacramentally invalid.

An inappropriate emphasis on the "dignity of man", which ignores original sin and the need for supernatural grace, and which has led to a sort of utopianism that sees world peace as possible without recognizing the kingship of Christ. This is contradicting Pope Pius XI's Quas Primas, Pope Leo XIII's Rerum Novarum, and other papal and conciliar documents on social matters.

A teaching on collegiality that attributes to the bishops of the world a share, with the Pope, of responsibility for the Church's governance in a way that is destructive of the authority of the Pope over the other bishops as the final arbiter of Catholic issues of faith and morals and which is alleged to encourage a "national" church mentality that also undermines the authority of the Holy See.

There are Catholics in full communion with the Pope and the Catholic Church and there are "cafeteria Catholics" who pick and choose what they want to believe and practice. A couple of examples are "Catholics" who are pro-abortion and "Catholics" who refuse to accept the teachings of Vatican II.

The term "Cafeteria Christians" refers to people who view Christianity like a cafeteria where one picks and chooses only those beliefs that appeal to them and reject a genuine interpretation of Christian doctrine and the teachings of Jesus.

The term "Cafeteria Catholics" is similar. It is used to describe people who dissent from certain teachings of the Catholic Church while maintaining an outward identity as Catholics.

In Los Angeles in 1987, Pope John Paul II said: "It is sometimes claimed that dissent from the magisterium is totally compatible with being a "good Catholic," and poses no obstacle to the reception of the Sacraments. This is a grave error that challenges the teaching of the Bishops in the United States and elsewhere."

Heresy is the obstinate denial after Baptism of a truth which must be believed with divine and Catholic faith.

"Cafeteria Catholics" in denial of certain truths are in danger of committing heresy.

    With love in Christ.

That being copy/pasted without credits makes me wonder how much of that you understand. Nevertheless, any ordnance, any additions made to holy scriptures as canonized since the 4th century are abominations if required as obligatory. Any church practices in conflict with the final canon of the Bible after about 419 AD should be discarded. Instead, today's Catholic Church is almost wholly divorced from the Church instituted by Jesus and His remaining original apostles. Many of the papal decrees since then have risked the integrity of God's word by reopening the canon. The Church desperately needs yo return to the simple instructions of the original completed and canonized Bible. I worship in such a church, non-denominational, no man or organization on earth commanding us. Jesus is Lord in Heaven and Earth. We hear the voice of God, obey the Holy Spirit, as authorized by Jesus. Get the people between you and God out of your way today.

So here is a problem with what you are proposing. And believe me there are several.

First of all the second vatican council was a legitimate ecumenical council. That means that the decisions of the council are binding and infallible.

To contradict the council would be to contradict the church.

I would suggest that if you actually read the documents you will find that there are no contradictions, only natural doctrinal development.

    Another problem.

say we revert back to the way the church was by the council of Trent. What makes that council legitimate. Why not go back to the council before that. Each council is legitimate to question one, you must question them all. and that would be silly as they are all infallible.

I too have noticed changes not only in the Catholic church but in churches world-wide. One thing in particular that is hard for me to understand is the loss of the desire to truly follow the teachings of Jesus Christ like you said. As people slowly distance themselves from God the church feels that they have to follow so they don't loose their members. True faith would be to continue teaching the true principals that will provide help and protection to overcome life's trials.

What really caught my attention is when you said there is a need for a restoration of these principals. But what is also important is that these principals you've pointed out are just a few examples of teachings that have been changed in the last 2000 years. No man in his own power could retore the full truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is simply too much that has been lost, changed, and manipulated.

Fortunately for us, God does have the power to restore these pratices, etc. I know personally that God has done so already, almost 200 years ago in the year 1830. The only difference is that he did not do so through the catholic church (He couldnt put new wine in old bottles). I send you a link because I could never explain in a short reply like this the significance of this restoration through a living prophet. But what I can tell you is that I know that God has restored (not reformed) his church by calling a prophet, 12 apostles, and giving them the same power and authority to lead his church that had been givin to the apostles of old. These truths are so important to know, to live, and to follow. Im so grateful for the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ!

"The revisions interior the liturgy are displeasing to God" Which do you think of displeases Him greater: The Novus Ordo Mass, or Catholics who actively sell branch interior the Church to the component of schism? Any good Catholic in his appropriate suggestions can parent that one out. The question is, are you able to?

It is OK to be a traditionalist Catholic. It is not OK to be a disobedient Catholic to the authority Jesus provided. I can empathize with your position but I believe you place yourself in real danger by separating yourself from the true authority of the Church. God bless!
