What can I feed my fish besides store bought food?

I've heard you can feed fish things such as spinach and zucchini. Is there anything else like that I can use? like apples or cucumbers?

depends on what type of fish you have, young plecos do require a vegetable diet, i feed my plecos zucchini, squash, cucumber, carrot, peas, romaine lettuce, i have fed my oscars fried chicken and beef, they are also about 9-10 inches and eat it immediately. i would stick to fish food, but if yoru feeling froggy leap and see if it gets consumed! (not endorsing) just saying as long as you dont try throwing a hershey bar in there, lol, i dont think ur fish will immediately die, if it doesnt take a liking to it, make sure to remove it from the tank immediately

you can feed zucchini to algae eaters if theres not enough algae in the tank, however store bought food is usually the best
