  • Any chance the Bulls can pick up Brandon Roy?

So being a Bulls fan (or an NBA fan with NBA TV) You know the bulls issue @ the two guard...Ive never once bashed Bogans because I realize he is a great defensive player and does hit some threes....but already thinking about how to fill the void next year...I realize the bulls will probably loose Bogans...Brewer..Asik....not too mention through all the trades the Bulls have somewhere around 3 or 4 first round picks over the next few years....any chance Portlands willing to shed Roy or work a deal for him...or do you think they are going to hold on to him and see if he stays healthy next year?

  • Inherited a blue lobster/need some info!!?

Whats going on people! So heres my dilema, a buddy of mine thought itd be a good idea to try putting a Blue Lobster in with some of his SA Cichilds, found out real quick it wasnt happening. Long story short, i had a spare 29 gallon I used a hospital/quarantine tank thats free and I told him Id take him off his hands. Ive seen a few at the petshops, this gusy small/medium sized. All thats in the tank is some slate. Any info you may have on how to care for the guy/what they like tank wise, water parameters, temp/ will be helpful. Obviously being a quarantine tank i have some aquarium salt in the water for parasite reasons, invertabrae's I know tend to not take a liking to salt, so im going to slowly do some water changes. Any info whatsoever will be helpful, dont want links to sites, want somebody on here thats kept or know how to care for this guys. What they require for diet will also help, thanks much!!

  • What type of filter for a 2 gallon tank??

I just bought a 6 inch oscar and was wondering does it need a filter and is the tank big enough????? Lol, im just kidding, dont get your panties in a twist. Running out of tank room, and saw my female Geophagus is holding today. I found this little 2 gallon tank Ive had buried for god knows how long. All my 10 gallon fry tanks are occupied right now, so I figured Id use this thing until one of them frees up. Not sure what type of filtration to use for something this small?????? HOB??? Really have no idea what to use for a tank this small, any idea's, websites, whatever you have will be very helpful. THanks much

  • How long is it acceptable to be engaged?

Long story short, i purchased a ring wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of my budget to propose to my girlfriend, A few days after I received the ring from the jeweler in the mail, guess what I WAS LAID OFF. I still proposed, but heres my question, I am taking my time and trying to find a job which suites me and can provide in the future. I was at my last job for 8 years, but knew at the end of the day it was dead end. Im being selective this time and not taking first thing that comes up. Meanwhile, my now fiance wants the whole formal wedding, church, limos, reception hall, which is not going to happen with the money coming in now. I guess my question is how long can a couple be engaged for without family and freinds secretly laughing behind their back?

  • Have a question about the python aquarium syphon/cleaner?

ok, heres my dilema, ive been doing this for a few years now, i have a 75 gallon, 55, 30, another 30, and a 10, (started breeding some geo's and plecos) so i own about 10 buckets, 6 of them with heaters in them set to the temp of my tanks, heres the issue, i looked into the python, i have always filled up my bucket, put my conditioners and stress coat in it, sat the buckets overnight, and did my water changes in the morning, i have thoght and have heard from many people with years into the game that chlorine can kill your good bio, so how does the python work, you fill the tank straight from you faucet i understand, and than put yoru conditioners in, isint the fact that your introducting chlorine and all the other **** from your tap into your tank a bad idea??? any info would be great, thanks much

  • Marineland bio-wheel filter systems?

I have used all types of filters, i have a few aqueon's goign right now, a few fluval canister filters going, on my 55 gallon i have two marineland penguin 350's(one on each side) and run quite a few bio wheel marineland filters on my some of my frys tanks, heres my question(well last detail) when cycling some of my tanks in the past i have always monitored and saw my ammonia rise and spike, but beyond cycling, on all my tanks running the biowheel marineland systems i have never ever ever ever had even the smallest amount of ammounia build up, is it possible that these wheels are that good??? always blew my mind, whats yoru opinoin??? how do you think they do against normal conventional filters with just the pump and cartridge??? failed to mention i have been in the process of switching over all my filters to the biowheel systems only because they have never let me down!

Its been two days, she has not eaten, I know this is normal. I plan on keeping the fry( I am not a fish breeder and never bred fish before). How do I go about this, shes in my 55 with the male and 3 other cichlids. If i remove her where do i put her? Do i use a filter in the tank I move her to or will it suck up the eggs? • Cloudy water in my 55 gallon tank?

So heres the deal, been running my 55 gallon tank for about a week and a half now, the water is milky cloudy. There is no fish currently stocked in the tank. I have more than enough filtration, two penguin 350, one on each side, and have black carbon in my basket bins in the back. I have thrown a pinch of food in it everyday to get some ammonia buildup. My question is my water after a week of running is still very very cloudy. All my gravel was rinsed very well, i have about 40 pounds of live rock in there that i also rinsed. What could be causing this, I also want to note I do have a small powerhead in the tank for some better water circulation. Another note, I have done a 10 gallon water change so far, I did take the python and hit the gravel to see if any dust blew up, nothing whatsoever? Any advice or answers on what could be causing this???

  • 55 gallon tank temperature issues?

Okay, im cycling my tank, checking my temps. I have a marineland 200 watt heater on 1 side, same exact 200 watt heater on the other side, both set at the exact same temp. 82 degrees. I have 2 hang on back filters, and a power head so theres plenty of circulation of the water. On my thermstats one side is showing 82 the other side is showing 80 degrees. What the hell is going on. Both thermostats are placed in the exact spot on opposite sides, both heaters are placed horizantly a few inches on away from the gravel. Why am i getting 2 degree loss on one side???????????
