Inherited a blue lobster/need some info!!?

Whats going on people! So heres my dilema, a buddy of mine thought itd be a good idea to try putting a Blue Lobster in with some of his SA Cichilds, found out real quick it wasnt happening. Long story short, i had a spare 29 gallon I used a hospital/quarantine tank thats free and I told him Id take him off his hands. Ive seen a few at the petshops, this gusy small/medium sized. All thats in the tank is some slate. Any info you may have on how to care for the guy/what they like tank wise, water parameters, temp/ will be helpful. Obviously being a quarantine tank i have some aquarium salt in the water for parasite reasons, invertabrae's I know tend to not take a liking to salt, so im going to slowly do some water changes. Any info whatsoever will be helpful, dont want links to sites, want somebody on here thats kept or know how to care for this guys. What they require for diet will also help, thanks much!!

    Ok - Blue Lobster/Crayfish Care 101: (lol)

    1. Regular pH level at around 7

    2. Temp: Between 68F-70F

    3. Layer of sand under a layer of gravel for burrowing.

    4. Lots of plant life - as they like to climb around in it.

    5. Tight, sealed, escape-proof lid (or else he will become a crispy critter).

    6. Food: sinking fish food pellets, small fish, etc.

    7. Lots of caves & places to hide (especially while molting - they are vulnerable).

There we go! And no links! lol

Good luck with your new blue friend!

Keep the salt out of the water, give the blue lobster (actually a crayfish) some caves to hide in, and feed it any kind of sinking food.

Crayfish are not especially hard to keep, and they are interesting to watch. Enjoy!
