Recycle Bin issue (Windows XP)?

I accidently deleted the shortcut to the recycle bin on my desktop. No big deal, I thought, I'll just search for it under file name. Nothing. I thought I'd find it in the "Windows" folder. Nope.

I only deleted the shortcut, where has the recycle bin gone?!

Right click on the desktop. Properties. Desktop tab. Customize Desktop button. Check the icons you want on the desktop.

Look in Windows Explorer and it should be listed at the bottom - That is if you only deleted a shortcut -
