I just moved into a new place and found that my internet has been kind of odd from the start. I can log into facebook and read things, but if I click on nearly any profile, it tells me it has been marked as unsafe and Malware. If I try and post ANYTHING as a status or a link, it tells me it contains an unsafe link to spam. Also I can't read my messages as they wont load. A friend came over and had the sane issue on their computer and also Ipod touch. Any ideas what the hell? I ran a full virus check and system sweep and there's nothing there.

I went and used public WiFi to try it out and my Facebook works fine, its simply when I'm using it with my internet connection at home.

Help?

I am a US permanent resident and I have the option of a couple of gigs in Canada and wondered if I needed a Canadian work visa or not? They would be paid shows and I'd be there less than a week.

A friend of mine just told me that her job is refusing to pay her for 60 hours of work because it was classed as Training. That doesn't seem like its legal. She is over 21, and in Toronto. I did a quick scout of the website and it will take me days to find it in all the specific legal wording.

Anybody have a good idea where she stands on this and what steps she should take?

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was still an open horse/dog racing track near Kansas City. I know Woodlands used to be there, but I think it closed down. Also, looking up Eureka, that seems like its closed as well.

About 6 months ago, I transferred the the last 6 years of my life onto a USB pen as I was getting rid of my old laptop. I made sure all the files were downloaded to it and triple checked everything was there. I have come to use the information today and its a nightmare. Most of the folders where I have hundreds of pictures are not folders now but a 32k "file" shown as a piece of paper, as windows is unable to understand what they are. Both were taken from windows laptops, no mac/apple information. The flash drive says its near full, but I cannot access anything.

Please help me if you know how I can fix this as I cannot replace what is on here.

A friend of mine asked me 2 months ago to help him with some masonry work. We agreed on $100 per day and he would pay me at the end of the month. I did 9 days work for $900. He always then had a reason he couldn't pay me, claiming he had not been paid for the completed job yet. After 7 missed payment deadlines, he eventually gave me $100, claiming the rest would follow 3 days later. That was 6 weeks ago. He now ignores all calls, texts and any reach of communication.

If it was $50, I'd let it go, but he owes me $800 which I have been waiting on for months.

Do I have any way to prosecute for the money?

I have to go to NY to catch a flight and rather than pay a fortune to pay for my car to be parked long term, is there a rental company that will let me pick up in DC and drop off at the airport in NY?

I remember in the old days, you could go to the airport and buy a last minute flight somewhere rather cheaply as they would rather have some money than let the seat go to waste. Is that still the case these days? Or are those tickets really expensive now too?

My Dell Laptop is freezing up a lot and running so slowly at random times, and whenever I have to force quit things, it says my CPU usage is 100%

I have tried deleting a lot of photos, music, etc. things that take up a lot of space, and wiped 4GB off the hard drive, defragged it, formatted it and still it runs the same.

So how can I bring the CPU usage down?

I accidently deleted the shortcut to the recycle bin on my desktop. No big deal, I thought, I'll just search for it under file name. Nothing. I thought I'd find it in the "Windows" folder. Nope.

Im trying to put on a show in LA, but avoiding the major comedy clubs, maybe in a place that usually hosts bands and holds between 50-200 people. Also, good bars with a small stage would do, or small theaters. Anyone recommend anywhere good?

I need a room to put on a comedy show, it doesn't need to be huge, maybe around 50-200 people, somewhere in that area, but am struggling to find something that isn't a huge theater or only hold about 20 people. It can be a little outside San Fran area, as long as its within a mile or two. Anybody know any good bars, clubs or small theaters?

Ive noticed over the last few years, people always posting or asking in stores, "whats a good gift for my boyfriend/girlfriend?"

I used to work in a department store and got asked it all the time, and the answer is always the same, "I have no idea, what do they like?"

I know my girl well enough that when Xmas/Birthday comes around I remembered stuff she wanted, certain things I know she'd enjoy and in some cases went to great lengths to get something original I knew they would love, based on the fact I listen to her over the course of the year and learned who she is.

But people just tend to go with whatever is generic: Perfume, Flowers, Chocolates, a shirt, a scarf.

So I wanted to ask, does anyone here still know how to buy gifts for a loved one?

Ok, I may be really missing the obvious here, but I have an Xbox360 and a netflix subscription. I am supposed to be able to get Netflix through my Xbox360, but after reading the Xbox Website, Netflix website and looking near everywhere I can't find it. Did they replace it with Zune? I looked in Video Marketplace, its not there, just the option to use Zune or rent it from Xbox.

So it is gone or am I nuts?

Due to living next door to a synagogue and it being Hannukah, I came home last night to find no spaces for 3 blocks. So, I parked in a private parking lot across from my house. I know this wasnt right, but there were spaces and I wasnt walking a mile in the freezing weather.

I got up this morning to move it, to find out Id already been ticketed. Now I accept the ticket, I shouldnt have parked there, but the fine is $250.00!!!

My question is, is there any way to challenge this on the grounds of how ridiculous the fine is compared to the crime here?
