Do you really mean delete? I thought you could only *change* w/p to something else (even if it's only a blank/cloured screen).

Have you never used any versions of windows before? :D
To change the wallpaper you either have to right click on the desktop and select "personalise" then "desktop background" or find a picture that you like and right click the picture itsself and select "set as wallpaper". easy as that. You don't have to delete it :)
if you'd like a blank background, right click on the desktop and select "personalise" then "desktop background" and at the top of the window select "One colour" from the drop-down menu. Select the color you like i.e black. Click save changes and your old background is gone :) good luck.

nicely, you technically can placed wallpaper over wallpaper, yet i do no longer advise doing it whatsoever. Get you some wallpaper glue remover, pop off the previous stuff, and post the recent. I surely have self belief you would be lots happier with that, in spite of the reality that it does take somewhat extra attempt, time, and persistence. in any different case, you run into furry issues, like the seams of the previous one peeling, and inflicting issues on your new wallpaper. (Btw, in case you do opt for to do paper over paper, then confirm you do no longer line the seams up). additionally, textures will come via on the recent wallpaper, in case you have textured up good now. additionally, you run bigger danger of air bubbles on your new wallpaper, in case you run new over previous. good success!!!!!!

Why would you do it that way? Right click on the desktop and go into the Personalize section. Change it there like you're supposed to.
