Where do locals buy lift tickets?
I went to Breckenridge last March and paid like $90+ for each lift ticket (rip off). I went to Park City last month and paid about $50 by getting them from Costco in advance.
You locals are on the slopes all the time. I imagine there is no way you are paying as much as the tourists are. Got any advice on where to get cheap lift tickets for my future snowboarding vacations?
I don't have a specific destination in mind for my next trip, but I'd like any advice you can give on the subject.
I'll pick a best answer, as long as there is one.

Locals dont buy tickets, they have buy season passes, like the MVP10 passes at Mammoth Mountain. Those season passes went on sale for a month in April, for 30 days for like $590. Right now to buy the equivalent costs like $ 1,679. Every mountain has season passes on sale for SUPER cheap every spring. (at least half the regular price) Usually it is a short sale (30-days or less) So you have to pick a mountain you like, then keep checking their website for specials throughout the spring-summer, or just call them and ask them when they usually have their spring sale for their season passes. These passes are a great deal if you plan on going to the same mountain for more than 10 days a year. Locals always have these because locals can get easily 20+ days a year. If you dont want to go to the same mountain all the time, then you will have to keep trying to find irregular deals or specials like the one you found at Costco.
