What do researchers mean when they refer to the mind's two tracks?

my psychology instructor has me writing a paper with this as the opening issue to discuss. we are studying sensation and perception, but none of the books I've read, or online resources I've looked up have used "mind tracks" as a term to describe them, so I'm not sure if that's what we're supposed to write about. the paper is due tomorrow and I've finished the rest of the paper besides the first part, so please help me!!!!!!

Mind tracks makes me think of different streams of thought, maybe at the same time. I'm not sure though, see if you can email/call your professor or other people in class. I have taken almost every psychology class there is to take before earning a bachelor's (I havent gotten there yet) and I have never heard of that before. It's possibly something the professor mentioned once or twice and somehow expected everyone to remember and take notes, or maybe you missed class or were in the bathroom or something when it was mentioned and you never got the info or explanation. Maybe nobody in class knows what the intructor wants and maybe nobody will have their paper tomorrow. Watch you come in tomorrow and that kid who sits in the front and makes entertaining comments says to everyone 'hey did anyone do their paper *giggle*" everyone else nods their heads no. "lol me neither" Then watch him convince the class to pretend they forgot/didnt know about it, or complain that it makes no sense when the intructor asks about it. i know it's not the most mature thing in the world but it's always a sense of relief when that happens. Either way just try to do it however you think and hope for the best tomorrow. I'm pretty sure other people are confused too.
