Does anybody know what poem this is?

I think it describes the retreat of Napoleon's army, or at least a component of it, from Russia. It had all the usual drama, like the cold, starvation, kossacks, etc.

I remember liking it when I was in high school, but since high school gets fainter and fainter every day, I can't remember much else about it.

Update:

Fine, COSSACKS. If I had a sample, I'd just google it.

    Don't you mean COSSACKS?

Also it would help if you gave us a sample of the actual poem rather than just your opinion about it.
