They combine into a single black hole. Both black holes combine to make the "new" black hole, which is a combination of both. Their event horizons fuse. Yes, the result of two black holes colliding is a bigger black hole. The radius of the new black hole is approximately the sum of the radii of the two original black holes. But black holes are pretty small---even a black hole that has eaten an entire galaxy is smaller than the Solar System. If the Universe continues to expand (as is expected), then there is no way that the entire volume of the Universe could be taken up by black holes.

It's thought that some gamma-ray bursts may be caused by this type of event.

In any case, the coalescence of two black holes generates vast amounts of gravitational radiation, and it is expected that the signature of such an event within 100 Megaparsecs or so would be detected by the LIGO gravity-wave telescope.

The answer is the large black hole will probably eat up the small.

    No energy released.

as black hole never release energy even when consuming the stars.

Friend no such phenomenon occur and so its a myth.

    Two things either happen

1 They either collide and swallow each other and create even a bigger one

2 They orbit each other so close that gravity just shoots them away from each other.

Like all battles it will be survival of the fittest. The bigger one will swallow the smaller one and become bigger. It is almost impossible that there will be 2 black holes of same magnitude.

they will clash and see which one survives, the energy will be consumed be the winner but nothing will happen to the winners. i think the astronomers have not seen the extra ordinary event yet

The larger black hole would swallow the smaller one. You wouldn't even know it was happening. No muss, no fuss...
