My friends will visit a Korean family and want to know what would be appropriate gifts to bring. I turn to yo?

They don't want to spend a lot of money and I get the impression they want to avoid any cultural gaffes. So, what sort of gifts would be nice to bring to a Korean family who has invited you over?

Don't try to give them something from THEIR culture (which your friend knows nothing about and they DO).

Food is always good -- some food from home, that travels well.

If the family is nearby, then flowers are usually welcome.

The idea is to give them something that will please them. It's a token, so no one would expect a car or dish-washer in this context.

    A puppy. Koreans love puppies.
