Seems a lot of people have this problem. How do we get it fixed?

Turbotax isn't recognizing a dependent I entered. I've noticed here and through other places that others have the same problem. How do I contact them without being on hold for 45 minutes. They need to fix this bug.

Update:

I've used Turbotax for years and never have run across this problem before. Evidently, it wants you to run a check to see if the person actually qualifies as a dependent. On Turbotax's support site a number of people have experienced this problem also.

I would hold for 45 minutes.

Second, I would wait a week or two. If there really is a problem, TT will likely release a fix as soon as is possible.

I can find no indication that any one else is having this problem, but I may have simply failed to run across it.

First, go through every question and your answers very carefully. It just takes one "no" that should have been a "yes" and vice versa to change a result. Make sure the birth year and any other data related to the dependent is correct.

Then save the return and exit the program. Go back in and see if the dependent is now recognized. If not, and you are positive that you have answered every question appropriately, contact TurboTax. There is online live support available.
