Other than sex, what would be a good welcome home idea?

My husband missed the entire summer & desired to go camping. So even though it was cold, I rented a cabin at a KOA & it had a hot tub. That was fun. You could rent a cabin at a ski resort...that's another option. If you have any local sports teams, you could take him to a game. You could buy some of the newer movies he's been wanting to see & have them ready to watch on a brand new big TV?

Besides that, a clean house. A well-stocked kitchen. Home-cooked meals. Patience. That is, if he's been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. I'm a female, but I was there. I couldn't get the dirt & sand off me for months. I just wanted to come home, be clean & fix something in my own kitchen or have my husband cook something. And vice-versa...he was over there too. Keep in mind, his clock will be off. He might be tired or a little irritable. That's where patience comes in.

quiet dinner, long soak in a real tub and full body massage. notice i did not mention sex? You can offer that up after anyone one of the above three..

my reasoning is this:

quiet,and favorite food because where ever he was he didn't get either.

Long soak in tub-- again-- probable not a possibility

Full body massage-- again , where ever he was this was not something offered and if it was, chances are it would not have been something that was welcomed nor accepted.. So there you go

Have some of his favorite snacks or other food items; cook his favorite meal; maybe have some photos of the family so he can see them; just be there for him :]

a clean house, dinner and a movie and a six pack.
