Why do Protestants read the Bible, but do not accept the truth?
Question: Why do all Bible reading Protestants, who profess their ways of obtaining salvation is the only correct method? When, it is distinctly written in the Gospels, that the only way, for the redemption and salvation of our souls for eternal life is by our acceptance of Baptism, Absolution of sins and the eating of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
Sacrament of Baptism was made, for all the Jews and gentiles, when Jesus Christ said to His Disciples “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ‘ Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. ‘ And behold I am with you always, until the end of age” Mat. 28, 18-20
The Sacrament of Reconciliation, was made to absolve our Sins, This Sacrament was created when Jesus Christ said “ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. ‘And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them ‘ Receive the Holy Spirit, Whose sins you forgive are forgiven and those sins retain are retained” Jn 20, 21-23
Today, Catholics are absolved from their sins, when we disclose and repent all our sins, before the presence of the Catholic Priest.
The Sacrament of the Eucharist was made for us to be in communion with Our Lord, Jesus. In His message before the crowd “ I am the living bread that came from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I give is my flesh for the life of the world.” Jn 6, 48-51 Again He said “ Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise on the last day.” Jn 6, 54-56. Therefore on the last supper He took the bread, said the blessing, broke it and gave it to them, saying, “ This is my Body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me. And likewise took the cup of wine, after they had eaten , saying “ This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you” Lk 22, 19-20.
Today, at every Mass throughout the World this same Sacrifice of bread and wine is made into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ as he commanded our Priest to perform.
In light of what is written in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, why have all the Protestant denominations ignored these passages of the Bible and removed themselves from the only true way for Salvation of our souls?

Most Protestants are inclined to read ALL of the Bible, not just selective bits! They take context into consideration (which you have not done here with your cherry-picking). Salvation certainly depends on confession of sins, but not to any other sinner, even though he might be an ordained priest! Jesus Christ is the one and only Mediator for all people. Read the Bible book of Hebrews for that. Only by putting total faith in what Jesus accomplished on the cross can anyone be saved. Read the first 8 chapters of the Bible book of Romans for that. Obedience to the commands of Christ is certainly called for, but unless and until a person is first born again of the Holy Spirit, they cannot achieve salvation by a system of doing 'things'. Read John's gospel chapter 3 for that.
And may the Lord bless you mightily in your reading of His holy word. Peace.

Oh boy, here we go lol. I ca tell by your question, that you might not like my answer, but here it comes anyways.
First off: Almost all Protestants accept Communion and Baptism, as key elements of their Christian life.Where did you get the idea they don't?
Secondly: Absolution of sin, is obtained through Baptism, and accepting Jesus Christ as your savior.
Thirdly: You shouldn't feel so clean as a Catholic, and judge other Christians, because the Catholic Church has caused more bloodshed, death, greed and hate than any other church in the history of the world.
Lastly: Do you realize the Catholic church isn't even the church that Christ spoke of in the gospels? The church existed long before the Romans even turned Christianity into a mainstream religion. It was originally just groups of persecuted jews who hid together and took communion, trying to spread the word to the gentiles.
I can't understand for the life of me why Catholics believe they are so perfect. Instead of listening to the Priest or your parents, try reading the bible a few more times by yourself, or with some friends. Take the meaning itself, and not what's been force fed into you since childhood.
If you've been Baptized, then you already recieved the holy spirit; just as other christians have, all across the world. The denomonation doesn't matter. It's belief and faith that matter. Remember the idea....
It's belief in Jesus Christ that saves us. Not belief in the Catholic church.....

i am not a Protestant. i am a great sinner saved by the Grace and mercies of God Christ Jesus. Amen.
I know you're a Roman Catholic, have to run away from such false denomination else you will run out of time and regrets why you didn't listen to Christ Jesus. Mat 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Joh 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Joh 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Joh 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Catholics believes a literal eating of Christ Jesus flesh and drinking literally His blood buit not really knows what He meant for that.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
In other words when Christ Jesus commanded Peter to fed His flock it's not His flesh but to teach them how to eat His Holy Words and fed the Holy Spirit within. John 21:15-17.

I dont understand how you get the preist involved.
In these passages I dont see where it says anything about the literal body of Christ turning into a wafer or vise-versa, he was speaking meta phorically, other wise he would have been a walking loaf of bread. The verse also says that we should do as he did which if taken literally would mean that each of us would need to go die on a cross.

its a poor assumption to believe that all protestants fall under your prescribed category. there are many protestants who still live as if they need to do something for salvation, whether it is what you have mentioned or not it doesn't matter. in response to your question, there are oodles of protestant doctrines available on the internet. why don't you start there if you want to understand why they believe what they believe. as far as your references on how to obtain salvation, those scriptures only indicate what Christ asks of his followers. when Jesus was asked what the prerequisite for salvation was his response is recorded in john chapter three. the protestants would argue that the scriptures you have mentioned are not needed to obtain salvation because those are all things that you do, though they are still important and practiced. they fall under the category of works. the concept of salvation by works is not biblical. if salvation was acquired by what you do that defeats the purpose of grace which is the biggest underlying theme in the new testament.
aside from all things, here is a question for the catholics, why have they abandoned the concept of being born again or born of the spirit and living according to the spirit as many protestant denominations do. there are hardly any catholics who demonstrate the fruits of the spirit to suggest that they have met jesus' requirement for salvation as mentioned in john chapter three.

The wonderful thing in my own experience was the more I read the bible for what it is (rather than a protestant pastor's agenda), it led me home to the true church firmly established by Jesus Christ himself!
All protestants are reading scripture which will lead them home to the one flock it speaks of, to the bishops of which Paul outlines, to the 4th pope Clement of which Paul says "is in the book of life", to Christ who tells the apostles to forgive and retain sins, and to Acts who is one practicing church with "kath holos" written in its Greek version ~7 times.
Their book is Catholic! Lord, continue to draw them home as you did me. Amen.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." -- Matthew 7:21-23
That should put your self-righteous, works salvation down the drain. Righteousness is not earned, and can never be earned. It is through faith that we are justified, and that righteousness is imputed (Romans 4:5-6, Romans 4:20-24), we are heirs of Abraham according to a promise. It is written, the Just shall live by faith. If you could earn your way into heaven, why did Christ die?

1. There are several religions on this earth.
2. They cannot all be correct to the extent which like you, their followers each wish to believe.
3. Therefore, some must be following incorrect beliefs.
4. What makes you so self centred as to think that YOUR religion is the ONE which is right?
Note: Science has provided enough evidence to disprove that god exists that you needn't worry about it anyway.

Why are you making what is so simple complicated? God's word tells us we are saved by His grace, through faith in His son.
You = lots of words
Jesus = much fewer:
"I am the way, the truth and the life". Please note He didn't say, you have to believe in me and then do this and this and this and this.

Well it doesn't say anywhere in those verses that those things are necessary for salvation.
