Its a spiritual rebirth. The classic passage from the Bible that answers this question is John 3:1-21. The Lord Jesus Christ is talking to Nicodemus, a prominent Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin (a ruler of the Jews). Nicodemus had come to Jesus at night. Nicodemus had questions to ask Jesus.

As Jesus talked with Nicodemus, He said, “’I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.’ ‘How can a man be born when he is old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again’” (John 3:3-7).

The phrase "born again" literally means "born from above."

Repentance is only a part of our salvation, Acts 2:38-47. Repentance is our way of asking God to forgive us of all the sinful things we have done, Then water Baptism in Jesus Christ name is our burial with him & the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is our Born again experience Without the baptism of the Holy Ghost we are not born again. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is us being born again.

It's being born-again of the Holy Spirit, which Jesus says is essential to be saved. See John chapter 3 in the New Testament.

We are able to exist with just our mind and body. The spirit can be dormant or even totally dead after a period of time. Being born again is burying your old self and life with Jesus in the grave and being raised again with him into new life in the spirit. It is choosing to give up everything and follow Jesus. The Holy Spirit guides us and leads us by our spirit.

Born again can also be called 'saved' . Eventhough you are a christian if you are not saved you will not go to heaven. This is what the christians say. Saved means you accept him as personal saviour and he is the real god. Sorry i am on my mobile and cannot type much. Hope this helps.

Born again refers to being born of the spirit through accepting the atonement of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Spirit.

We are believer prior to accepting the atonement I am sure; So through faith we are born again which is born of God.

This we have today by faith. We have not literally died and literally been reborn.

We will be literally born again and literally made new when we are resurrected.

So it is by faith we accept the atonement and by faith we are now born of God.

Jesus said, "you must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven". It just means that you realize you are a sinner in life, and the only way to have that sin forgiven is by faith in Jesus Christ as your savior.

There are many people who "know of" Jesus, but have never actually admitted they have sin, nor have they believed that Jesus died on a cross for their sins. That is what makes the difference.

no longer precisely. A believer, certainly. yet no longer unavoidably born lower back. "Born lower back" Christians have confidence that they had no existence previously they grew to grow to be Christians. They have been somewhat "born lower back". a individual who has been a Christian all his existence does no longer be "born lower back".
