Obama wants people to stop watching cable news. Why? Does Obama want an uniformed public?

As directed by Kim Jong Il, removal of the first amendment of the constitution & all rights granted therein is the first thing that a socialist pig needs to do in order to contribute to the new world government. Next is to eliminate paper currency, and the free market all together. Networks use freedom of the press to expose the attempted deconstruction of the free market... It is against the Church of Obama to think for yourself and not work hard to SUPPORT freeloaders and liberal hippies... C'mon man, You know this stuff....

What's that too lazy to hear truth? Let me put it into text for you

President: Last point I would make about this. You know what I think would actually make a difference, Michael -- I think if everybody here -- excuse all the members of the press who are here -- if everybody here turned off your CNN, your Fox, your -- just turn off the TV -- MSNBC, blogs -- and just go talk to folks out there, instead of being in this echo chamber where the topic is constantly politics -- the topic is politics. It is much more difficult to get a conversation focused on how are we going to help people than a conversation about how is this going to help or hurt somebody politically.

And that's part of what the American people are just sick of -- because they don't care, frankly, about majority and minorities and process and this and that. They just want to know, are you delivering for me? And we've got to, I think, get out of the echo chamber. That was a mistake that I think I made last year, was just not getting out of here enough. And it's helpful when you do. (Applause.)

I don't think he wants you to stop watching news and be uninformed. That is ridiculous.

Those channels are very one sided. That is probably why he doesn't like them, or doesn't think you should watch them, if indeed he actually said that at all.

Fox: WAY right of the right side.

CNN: left sided

MSNBC: Pretty far left of the left side.

I would rather see news that just showed the news and that was it. No opinions from the anchors or reporters, nothing but journalism and what is REALLY happening.

When I heard him say this at the Democratic get together last week I was amazed.

He should know that free speech is important to this country but yet he is trying to stop it.

He is wrong and so is anyone else who tries to stop it.

They would be alot better off turning off the TV, going on the Internet, and reading about political philosophy, economics, and history. Then, they would understand just how far this country has fallen since the days of the Founders.

they're all biased and none of them are news. cnn is usually democrat friendly, you'd think he'd encourage it, at least he's being 'fair.' I doubt he wants a stupid public to easily control, more that the political divisivness is not helpful and these ideas about reaching across the aisle and compromise and so on. many of these cable news stations have stopped pretending to be news altogether and call it commentary or analysis.

He was talking about congressmen, who were too focused on politics. Sheesh, do you rightwinges do any research at all before you ask these dumb questions? Wait, just like your idols: Palin, Hannity, Limbaugh, you don't.

He only said to not watch Fox News which is okay because they are biased as hell towards the right.

Fox only criticizes Obama to get ratings/money rather than trying to work towards actually fixing America
