Why is the NFC East the strongest Division in all of Football?

They have the most Super Bowls,NFC Championship

Update:

Seriously, which division can compete with this with SuperBowls?

NFC South has how many?

AFC North has how many?

AFC South how many?

Historically, you are right. The Cowboys (5), Giants (3), and Redskins (3) combined have won 11 Super Bowls. And when you factor in Super Bowl appearances, there are 19 among these teams and the Eagles.

First of all: the Indianapolis Colts ARE the AFC South. That's a division of expansions.

The NFC East has 2 teams that were once proud dynasties, an Eagles team that somehow manages to challenge for the NFC every year, and the Giants have an occasional great season. The closest I can think of is the AFC East.

Its the most competitive. You may look at it and say "oh the giants were 8-8 and missed the playoffs and the redskins have an embarassing 4-12 record." But that is very inaccurate, both the redskins and giants were fighting their butts off as if they were undefeated. The most popular of which was when the redskins nearly beat the saints.

So true. "How 'bout those Cowboys!!!" (Jimmy Johnson after the team's 3rd SB victory)

When there was no salary cap, that may have been true.

    Not since.
