Big round glass cylindrical vases?

Have you ladies (or guys) ever used those really big round cylindrical glass vases to decorate with? If so, what did you put in it? They have varying sizes and I know that they can be used in the bathroom, bedroom and even the kitchen or den area. I came across a really big one at Marshall's the other day and there was nothing around to even suggest what it could be used for and I didn't have time during that shopping trip to get creative. Like some of the ones that I have at home I have put nice soaps in. One of them has bath bombs in them - all different colors and it looks really pretty. One of them I made into a vase and used glass gems and silk roses that I used at my daughter's wedding. Some of the bigger ones I know that people put in fake citrus fruits such as lemons/limes and oranges or grapefruits and fill with that and put that on the kitchen counter or table for decoration or a centerpiece. I've even seen dried florals curled around inside of them.

Any suggestions you have will be welcomed. Thank you!

Update:

Yes, I'm talking about all sizes. Tall and thin, or shorter, but alot wider & rounder. The one I saw at Marshall's was huge. One can get very creative. I was just looking for more ideas. Thanks to those that have already answered!

Do you mean the kind that are 2-4 feet tall? Those are great with reeds or bamboo. Cost-plus World market had a good variety. Target, Wal-mart, K-Mart and the dollar stores are economical places to look. Naturally, places that sell floral supplies should have the best selection at the higher price. Pebbles in the bottom are not necessary, but if you feel that it needs some of your room's accent color and it's in your budget, then go for it. The really big ones are great on the floor in an empty corner or in front of a narrow wall because they stand so tall. (Hope you don't have a large dog with a wagging tail.)

I've never seen vases that large but you could put almost anything in them I guess. A sister in law of mine collects glass marbles of all sizes and colors, that might look pretty. For some reason I'm envisioning colorful balls of yarn in there maybe with knitting or crocheting needles in there as well , or at Christmastime maybe pine cones or ornaments. I like the seashells idea as well. Potpourri maybe. Maybe just a bunch of glass beads. Is the glass sturdy or very delicate? If sturdy, how about making it an umbrella stand?

    Good Luck!

ny is favourite as "the large apple" because some time previous a fashionable human beings hero (Johnny Appleseed) planted a unmarried seed interior the midst of the city. Then, in a unusual warp in area-time, a boy named Jack planted a seed he believed to be magical interior an same spot. In what continues to be seen a marveling organic and organic progression, both seeds fused at the same time on a molecular factor. After an superb rain, the seed hybrid grew into an apple 300ft tall and approximatively 330ft wide. The strangest difficulty being the absence of a tree. it seems the apple replaced into thoroughly regular, except it grew immediately from the floor with its own roots like a beanstalk of a few kind. for some destiny years, human beings would visit the city and seem up on the no longer conceivable fruit and imagine "it fairly is a ny". After a lengthy time period human beings began relating the city itself as "the large apple". yet then, 1943 Oct 11th, some thing unusual befell. because the city laid to relax, the evening once back upon them, there replaced right into a impressive flash of red mild. The flash lasted for almost 4-5 seconds. no individual is for particular what led to the flash, yet as quickly because it replaced into over the apple had in simple terms disappeared. no longer really had it vanished, the floor it had grown from had closed as if it weren't in any respect there. some say the apple had grown so large it created some variety of fruity supernova and collapsed in on itself in a black hollow. some say the extraterrestrial beings to blame for the lack of life of the dinosaurs got here lower back and destroyed the apple to boot. We would not in any respect understand precisely what befell that evening, yet one difficulty is for particular. That replaced right into a huge-*** apple.

Round like a globe? I'd put any kind of large things I collect in one. Like large seashells (not the teeny tiny ones) or whatever you collect - beanie babies? Balls?

Sand and a candle. Rocks and a bamboo plant (rocks are excellent for the drainage)
