  • Is it wrong to suggest a college applicant in Yahoo to use correct grammar?

Someone just sent me an e-mail in response to my suggesting correct grammar in my response to an asker regarding applying to an Ivy-League college. The e-mail was calling me all kinds of mean/dirty names for suggesting someone clean up their spelling. Do you think my suggestion was uncalled for? Do I deserve 4-letter words and a filthy mouth because suggesting an applicant to Rice University use correct grammar and spelling? Should I have to close my e-mail access so prissy little b****es cannot send me such filth? What do you think?

  • Can anyone recommend a good tax attorney in Houston, TX?

We are in deep doo with the IRS. They have notified us that they have an "Intent to Levy" and are notifying us of our right to a hearing. We have heard we should submit an "Offer to Compromise" but have no way of knowing how much to offer or if there are other routes we should take.

  • First-time Texas Drivers License for over age 18?

Well, my child is over 18. She took and passed her written test this past summer. She has taken the driving test twice and failed both because of the parallel parking. Now it's November and she wants to try again. I cannot find out if there is a deadline for the time between taking the written test and the driving tests. I looked all over the DPS web site, but it does not cover this situation. Can you help?

  • Have you ever had a job interview with both knowledge tests and physical tests?

I am having an interview with a local big oil company. I was told by the personnel department that, if I go on to the second level of interviews, it will include testing for basic job knowledge AND a physical test. I can only guess they are testing for what may be the physical requirements of an office job, such as picking up boxes and bending over a file cabinet. Has anyone ever had a similar test? What can I expect? Thanks

  • My Hyundai Elantra is eating headlight bulbs. Anyone know why?

Ever since I got this car (2003 Elantra) we have had to replace the low beam bulbs at least once every 6 months. Is there a special fuse we should use? We are not touching the bulb during installation, so why should they burn out so fast?

  • When a question asks for an easy recipe, why do some of the answers have 15 ingredients and 1000 words long?

Please read the questions. If the question is from a single man wanting an easy meal, don't reply with a dish containing a dozen exotic ingredients obviously not in his pantry/fridge, and 20-step instructions taking over an hour.

Why do some answerers seem like they do not read the question? If they just wanted easy points, they would not spend half an hour creating such an elaborate reply.
