can a blank cd expire?

You know like a CDR, I found a bunch of blanks and all of them burn but dont actually work in a cd player, dvd player, car radio, the computer (i tried with the other blanks and it works fine so its not the software im using) so idk???

also there memorex the white ones so yea it might be an old thing

    no it can not expire...

    some cheaper ones sometimes have compatibility issues with certain drives... (at least they used to back when blank optical media first came to the retail market)

    it can also be that the disc is not finalized with your authoring software... if a disc is not finalized by the drive that burned it then it will not be playable on any drive other than the one that wrote to the disc...
