Could I be accused of harassment?

I was running on the track. Two of the other runners thought I was chasing them, but I wasn't. They would increase their speed every time they saw me coming up from behind them. I simply got closer to them because they were slower than I was. I tried to pass them, but they still sped up. Could they accuse me of harassment?

No. Harassment has to be in the form of verbal, physical ( which is direct contact ), sexual, racial, and aggresive. The most they could do is ask you to leave the track, but unless they own the property they cannot permanently remove you. Only the police or owner could make you leave forcefully. They may not like you, but so what it seems that you are more fit than them so just keep running faster, and make them watch> LOL

You were on a track - running. So were the other people. How can that be construed as harassment? Maybe they were just trying to not let you pass them.

    Sure you can be accused.

But if anyone can be convicted of anything, it's of those two runners for being so stupid.

Really, who thinks they're being chased ON A TRACK?

They can accuse you of whatever they want... but they can prove nothing.

    Don't be paranoid.

If that's all it was then you have nothing to worry about.
