What rituals did Jesus teach, if any?
Only ritual I remember reading in the New Testament is the "Our Father" prayer, but besides that...Reason I ask this is because the Catholic church seems to be a sect of what Jesus really taught us. For example, Jesus never said anything about wearing a cross, he never said anything about attending mass as we now know it (who scripted the mass anyways?), Jesus never said anything about no Christmas Tree, Adventus, The Via Crusis etc. In fact he was a very simple man, with a very strong message which actually condemmed the people who were praying in public etc.
What are your thoughts on Jesus and the Contemporary Catholic Church?

Jesus was a Jew who practiced Jewish traditions. The Catholic Church has over the years developed its own set of traditions, rules, and guidelines. From what I know, The Bible does not teach anything about these things. Jesus taught about humbleness. So many things about the Catholic church are meaningless to most Catholics. I go to a Catholic school, but i am not catholic, and most of the kids there don't care about catholicism, praying, or religion in general. I don't know about the catholic adults, but it seems to me as if most things the catholics do is meaningless to them. They know what the church tells them, but it means nothing to them. Most of the kids there don't know anything about the bible. I see Catholicism as a lot of meaningless traditions and rituals. Sure, some catholics actually believe in this and follow it with their hearts, but a lot of them don't care. It's not just catholics, but a lot of christians. only 4% of kids who grow up in Christian homes actually chose to follow Christ. It's incredibly sad to me, and I'm determined not to become part of that 4%

God is giving you light so you can get the truth. Jesus taught many things, but nothing for salvation except you believe on him. Faith in the death, burial, and resurrection.
Salvation is so simple. God showed me these things too and I found that a simple prayer asking him to save me- believing what he did on the cross could save me- that was enough.
Threw away the rosary beads, no more praying to mary, no abominable mass, etc...
Faith in Jesus. Please go to him in faith and ask to be saved.

I converted to Islam a few years ago. We Muslims love Jesus(pbuh) because he was one of God's messengers. I became a Muslim when I realized these things.
These are scientific proofs. Please go to the link below and take a look

Islam is the same religion that Abraham(pbuh), Moses(pbuh), Jesus(pbuh), Muhammad(pbuh) and all the other prophets preached. The word Islam in Arabic means submission to the will of God and that is what all the prophets did.
The Holy Quran says this about the Trinity
[4:171] O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a revelation from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, "Trinity." You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is much too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master.
[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.
[5:116] GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Make me and my mother idols beside GOD?' " He will say, "Be You glorified. I could not utter what was not right. Had I said it, You already would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets.
So if Christians believe in the trinity, they are ploytheistic.
According to the Qur'an, Jesus(pbuh) was born miraculously by the will of God without a father. His mother is regarded as a chaste and virtuous woman and is a highly respected figure in Islam. The Qur'an states that Jesus was the result of a virgin birth. If God says it will happen, it will. For Muslims Mary is a symbol of submission to God and piety.
Moses, Abraham, and Jesus(Peace be upon them all) brought Islam but people changed it and forgot it. The Bible was the word of God until people changed it. Today there are more than one thousand different Bibles. Why do you think there are so many different versions of it?
The Quran is in it's Original form. It has never been changed. There are different translations of the Quran but there is only one version and that is the original form. That is why it must be recited in it's original language so that it doesn't change.
The word Islam in Arabic means submission to the will of God and thats what Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad(Peace be upon them all) did. God sent them to let the world know that they should worship none but God himself.
Christians don't follow Jesus(pbuh) the way he said. No where in the Bible does Jesus say that he's God and to worship him but thats what Christians do. When Jesus(pbuh) was praying, was he praying to himself?
Please go to the link below and watch this debate between the Muslim scholar Sheikh Ahmad Deedat and the Christian reverend Eric Bock debate on the topic "is Jesus God?" You will see that no where in the Bible does Jesus(pbuh) say that he is God. It doesn't say that anywhere in any version of the Bible. Please watch by going to this link

Our motto is "There is none worthy of worship except God"
Quran [2:112] Indeed, those who submit themselves absolutely to GOD alone,
while leading a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their
Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
Islam is not a name. Islam means Submission to God alone. Muslim is an Arabic word that refers to the person who Submits to God alone. Submission involves an active daily process of remembering and worshiping God alone.
