Foreigner 4 album question?

leave it to rolling stone and/or one of these wonderful 'best of' lists, to not recognize a major rock band at its zenith. i was about 12 or 13 when my older sister took me to see foreigner w/ billy squier in 1982, i think it was, and there has never been an album that was hotter than "4" was at that time. that tour was a pretty hot ticket then, too.

the opinions that matter are ours, don't lose any sleep if a favorite doesn't make one these surveys.

besides, 500 people would make 500 different lists anyway, they are worthless and mean nothing.

I Totally agree! Foreigner 4 was a fabulous rock album that was snubbed by the supposed rock experts! There are MANY albums left off that extensive list! Example: How could those dopes keep Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever off that list. The album had chart smashes "I Wont Back Down", "Free Fallin", "Running Down a Dream", and "A Face in the Crowd" The album also contained several other excellent tracks: "Love is a Long Road", "Yer so Bad" and an excellent cover of the Byrds' "Feel a Whole Lot Better."

Screw Rolling Stone. They also thought Led Zeppelin sucked too. The snobbery of that rag never ceases to amaze me. If you like that album, that's all that should matter.

I'm sure it's just someone's opinion anyway, and I'm sure they included at least one album worse than that. Urgent I like, Girl Like You is average, Juke Box Hero is kind of gay

Yeah, it was pretty much Foreigner at their peak. Great band.
