OLTL Something Weird?

In a normal family yeah 11 or 12 would be fine.........but this family?? Not at ALL!!!

A crazy aunt who would do just about anything to get her claws into his father. The crazy aunts best friend who would do anything to help. And certainly not least Mitch is his grandfather & don't forget about all the crazy cult followers!!

Also, she still thinks like a single mom & she thinks as a mom of a sick child who was REALLY sick!!

With all of that, I don't find it odd.....I know I wouldn't take those chances!!

You're right, Shane is old enough to be left alone for a few hours. But, as a single mom, Gigi has always been a little over-protective, especially since he was sick. Although he can technically take care of himself, I can understand her wanting him to have some company.

Some people are still reluctant to leave their kids home alone. My girl is 11 and I wouldnt leave her alone, still too young. PLus throw in his past health problems and he also has asthma, he would need help if something were to happen.

Maybe she is worried about him pigging out and doing certain stuff because she is still worried about the cancer coming back and that psycho Mitch, but i was staying home alone before that also.

it's against the law to be left home alone before like 14, plus some parents just wouldnt.

i think shane is a cute kid. but gigi should definitely be with rex.
