What does last night's lost do to Peyton Manning's legacy as one of the best Quarterbacks of all time?
I think he still has time to improve his legacy as one of the best of all time. I think had he won last night, he would have been put in the top 5 greatest QB of all time if not top 3 or maybe number 1. The lost last night and the turnover and the fact that he couldn't bring his team back hurt it just a bit in my eyes. While I still think he is one of the top 10 best QB's ever, I can't say he is the best ever after last nights lost because I have a hard time believing that Joe Montana or John Elway would have lost that game that way.

Yeah I think you got it right. Had he won he would have to be in discussion of the greatest ever. Top 3 for sure. With that loss and the way he lost dropped him to 3-5 with no discussion of the greatest ever.

Last night's Super Bowl loss wouldn't change his legacy one bit. Peyton Manning has a lot of time to improve on his legacy & he's still one of the best QB's in the National Football League to this day. He'll win another championship with his team in the near future & people will say that he is one of the best in QB that the NFL has ever had.

here's the thing I think there is a two way tie for number one and two in the category of best QB's in football history
#1 Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana
#2 Tom Brady and Peyton Manning
until last night it was a possible three way tie at one
Brady and Manning may between them take all the regular season records between them in the 5-6 years they have left but in my mind neither will ever pass Bradshaw or Montana because they both lost a super bowl which neither Bradshaw or Montana ever did.

He is 1-2 when it comes to Super Bowls and the pick six will follow his legacy for the rest of his career. I think he is still on of the best QBs of all time but not THE best QB of all time. He still has a chance to win one more and if he wins the next one, then the people will forgive last night's game. Check out http://blog.forrent.com/category/sports for more opinions about sports!

The game last night proved one thing, Drew Brees is the best QB in the NFL right now. Manning will wind up with amazing numbers when it is all said and done. He'll be up there with Farve and Marino but for winning the big game you would have to go with Montana or Bradshaw, those guys were clutch.

In order to be the number 1 best QB ever, I feel that the QB should have at least 3 rings and no bowl losses. That is just me though.

A win last night would have closed the deal on his legacy which is why I know he did not throw the game but his legacy will be fine. You are right he is one of the best there is but I am glad the Saint's won.

I think the fact that he threw that pick-6 will live with his legacy forever. The final verdict on him will still rest on whether he wins another one. The difference is whether he is viewed as one of the top 5 or the best ever.

who really cares about being the G.O.A.T.
Being crowned as the greatest only turns players into Ego-centric Monsters (like Michael Jordan). Peyton is a class guy, so I hope he stays humble by not having people worship the ground he walks.

Manning is one of the best QBs there is but often there is someone just as good or better.
