While I don't doubt you could get the fruit from Africa, they are native to North America, mostly the Western States, Canada, and Mexico.
You can get raspberries in red, blue-black (blue), and black. However, the blue flavor you get from Kool-Aid is totally artificial.

Hi Jennifer S!
All raspberries are species of the Rubus plant, and the Rubus leucodermis, also known as the whitebark raspberry, a plant that is very common to North America and is referred to as the "blue whitebark raspberry".
The artificial flavor blue raspberry was made in 1950's and contains blue food coloring.
Ask your mom if she's done pulling your leg! LOL!
Good luck, and watch out for the snooze berries and snipes.

Raspberries aren't blue, at very least not that color of blue. There may? be a raspberry that has a very deep indigo like blueberries do. But not that bright color, it and the flavor are completely artificial. FUN and yummy but fake.

There is no such thing as a blue raspberry. It is a completely artificial flavor.
