What am I but a beast
Who feasts on treats
Of trodden dreams
Who sleeps on streets
And meets the freaks
Shakes their hands
And smells their feets
Who seeks to reach
A solemn beach
And soaring mountains
With icy streams
Who’s weak from weeks
Of trying to teach
Lessons no one else will preach
And I cut the cord
To break the breach
Cuz sickly sights
Are not my thing
So breathe the air
That I beseech
Of souls too small to self achieve
In earnest light I view the leech
Whose slimy nature paints me green
And lowers all my self esteem
They laugh, in thought, at what I be
None too human,
Just a beast.

its amazing. i love it. altho the last 3 lines dnt make much sense to me coz it kinds felt that the person narrating the poem really dint care abt the opinions of others...

You prepare promise, yet in a pair of circumstances you rather reached to make a rhyme and harm the temper of the poem slightly. shop writing, stumble on a poetry team and flow to open readings, participate. Poetry could be heard rather than study, that's a music of tonal characteristics which could evoke feeling while mixed with visions that others can relate to. whether somebody likes or hates your poems is unimportant . what's significant is that the poems evoke some variety of emotional reaction from the listener. stable success!
