can i play college baseball?

im a 5ft 10in senior from south carolina, im 175lb, ima catcher but i dont wana play catcher in college, i wana play 3rd or 1st, im not a bad hitter, il prolly hit around .300 this year, im a solid defensive player!!!

    Well I will tell you right now that you are not going to be a first baseman or a third basemen in college if you only hit .300 in high school. That is a catcher's batting average, and a very low one unless you are an excellent defensive catcher. Corner infielders are power guys. This is to say that if you want to play college ball at one of these positions, you better be hitting around .400 in high school. The pitching only gets better, which means your average is going to go down a little. I would try to either improve my hitting, or stay at catcher and work on my defense if I were you.

    tell wour coach that you wanna play at the corners this year for a couple games against the less competitive teams you play unless your school abslutly sucks at baseball then just ask to play there any game and see how you do but you have to be very good to play the corners in college

    Hard to tell from what you wrote but you'd have your best chance at catcher.
