Nothing new under the sun. Always have had these, always will. I am still waiting for the pagan hospital to be built....or orphanage....or nursing home...or anything, for that matter. Oh wait...we do have Stonehenge. What is the purpose of that, anyway...?
The real issue is the issue of truth...does truth belong to the Bible, to Jesus Christ, and to the believers...or is there truth in the pagan worldview? If we believe we are all the end result of random evolutionary process...maybe nature is all there is. If we are created beings...and God is our creator...maybe the truth is in the Creator.
As to enslavement to organized religion...can anyone give an example of that happening anywhere? How is it different from enslavement to the pursuit of material things, or money?
Just curious...

I think it's great, but I'm admittedly biased.
We all have to make our way through life as best we can and expecting everyone to do it in the exactly the same way whether that way is an established religion or atheism is inherently stupid.
Figuring things out for yourself is just about the only freedom we have and we're lucky that we in the west now live in societies that allow us that freedom.
So far I've noticed that the pagan paths that are sprouting up seem to get this idea better than any other group of people and that can only be a good thing.

You know that common statement that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience, well I feel we are coming into a time when people no longer want to be told what to believe and think. This is happening throughout society (government, economy etc) and also in religion/spirituality.
I personally take the view as per Jiddu Krishnamurti, the Indian teacher, that 'religion is the frozen thought of man out of which they build temples' (read also - churches).
Thus as this frozen thought melts, people are naturally going to gravitate towards what feels right to them.
We are all unique, and as long as we don't harm others, then variety is good by me.

I love it it's about time people started waking up and quit letting the Church run there lives. If Christianity were the truth why did they have to steel most of there beliefs from the pagans and just change the names. Look at all the holidays that the Christians practice then take a look at were they actually came from.

Each person has to convince themselves if it is the right one.
The most important thing is to look in the Bible for the things good religion promotes.
For example:
High Moral Standards
Marriage - Hebrews 13:4 - Does this religion require that among its members, couples who live together be legally married?
Divorce - Matthew 19:9 - Does this religion respect Jesus' direction and allow divorce and remarriage - but only on the grounds of immorality?
Sexual morality - 1 Corinthians 6:18; Romans 1:26-27 - Does this religion teach that sexual immorality either between a man and a woman or between a couple of the same sex is a sin?
Courageously upholding Bible standards among it's members - 1 Corinthians 5:11, 13 - Does this religion remove from its membership roll any who unrepentantly ignore Bible standards?
Brotherly Love
War - Mattew 5:44; 26:52; 1 John 3:10-12 - Does this religion encourage its members to participate in warfare?
Politics - Jonh 6:15; 18:36; 17:14 - Does this religion follow Jesus' example and avoid becoming involved in politics, even if that means that its members will be hated by some politicians?
Prejudice - Acts 10:34-35; James 2:1-4 - Does this religion teach that all people are equal in God's sight and that members of the religion should not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race or economic standing?
Respect for God's Word
Religious titles - matthew 23:1-10 - Do leaders of this religion like to be called by honorific titles and seek prominence in the community, or do they obey Jesus' command to avoid doing so?
Use of images in worship - Exodus 20:4-5; 1 John 5:21 - Does this religion obey the Bible's clear command to avoid the use of images and idols in the worship of God?
You can also ask yourself, which religion encourages people to study the Scriptures to see if what they are learning is really true?
You can use these points to analyze any religion to see if they are living by the truth, the Bible is the truth, search it out.

I think all kinds of religions is a form of Paganism, as they all have their roots in paganism and have similar mythologies as paganism.
Spirituality doesn't compare to either Paganism or religion (religion is paganism as far as i am concerned)
spirituality is simply a way of life, living in your own sense of truth, walking on your own personal path and journey through this experience we call life.
we are spiritual beings living a physical experience.

Pretty much expected when the most popular religion today is just based on different types of pagan religions.

I don't believe in spreading any religion. Spreading, in religious or political terms, usually means shoving down someone's throat. But paganism sure beats having Christians around.

In my humble opinion(IMHO), "religions/spirituality's" all represent mans efforts to add value and meaning to the experience of life. Traditions, too. That doesn't make them bad but rather creates a commonly held framework that conditions the thinking of the affected mortals.
IMHO, this seems to apply to any pool of collective information...even science.
So, the 'spread' is a good thing in that it instructs devotees in the art of basic thinking, the end result being a set of instructions that suggests what might be considered appropriate behavior within a given culture, vocation or affiliation. Most have a moral goal, objective or lesson. Still, their value can only be known by experience.
Who are we to condemn any who walk in darkness? Are we to enshoud ourselves in our own darkness in ignorance of their suffering or 'do unto them as we would have them do' unto us? and share our light.
It really is a choice, a personal decision.

It was bound to happen. Pagan and Heathen religions cater to peoples true natures, paganism's rise just means people are realizing that there are religions out there that's more in touch with the needs of humans (e.g. no celibacy).
