I am making a Valentine's dinner for my hubby and I am making steak, what other meat would go good with that?

He doesn't like seafood and I was going to broil a lobster tail for myself but I need an idea for what to make for him. I am also making a mixed green salad and twice baked potatoes. Any ideas would be great.

Meat doesn't usually have meat as a side dish. I suppose you could serve some kind of sausage or good cheese, but I have to ask why you'd want to. Personally, I'd add a vegetable like asparagus or spinach or broccoli or glazed carrots--something a bit more heart-healthy than more meat.

If anything, you could go surf 'n turf with a nice steak and a crab cake or crab legs. Maybe some seared scallops. Something like that. Pair with a starch, preferably mashed potatoes and a vegetable... broccoli, green beans etc.

Just make it fillet mignon and you need no other meat.

With the money you save buy strawbs and cream/chocolate, or both.and champers.
