was adolf hitler a genius?
those sensitive to this topic i'm not looking for a fight i have a school project and want some insight from people who don't think like me.
ok so i myself believe he was cause face it you can't become a dictator and be dumb. the reason's i'm inclined to my opinion is because of his approach towards gaining power (such as taking Advantage of nationalism, antisemitic, capitalist, and communist party)
and also the use of propaganda and utilizing anglo-saxon human heredity theories and novel to his steady Advantage.
that's just my opinion disregarding the misdirection and mass genocide of his intelligence
do you agree or disagree? (please if you can also disregard those factors as i did it would be greatly appreciated =D)

More or less, I had to study the topic in school as well, it seems much of his success revolved around the fact that he himself read, "The Art of War".
You could also take into account his personal staff, many of whom were the backbone of his success, in fact, he only partly contributed to his own speeches, someone else wrote them.
this could also be of use to you:

That depends upon what you consider to be genius. He was certainly above average intelligence, but many "non-geniuses" of average intellect have been able to achieve great things because they were particularly driven and because contemporaneous events fit their particular endeavours. If, for example, there had never been a Treaty of Versailles, or a worldwide depression in the 1930's, Adolf Hitler would not even have been a footnote in history. A lot of what he accomplished was due to the political situation of the time, which fit in with his (ahem!) unconventional and somewhat goofy ideas. So, I would say that I believe Adolf Hitler to have been very intelligent, but possibly not really a "genius". It's kind of hard to say because the man was such a loony (as were a lot of his colleagues). That's my theory, anyway.
Oh, and Sarah Palin IS a genius (yeah, right ...).

The only thing he was good at was public speaking and interior decorating.
He was a bad general, most histories show that he hindered the abilities of his generals. He on occasion got out of the way and allowed them to win.
He was a bad leader. He took one of the inherently wealthiest and most powerful countries in Europe and ruined it, reducing it permanently in both size and power. This once great country would not even come close to its former size for more than forty years. His methods of taking control ensured his final defeat as hos policies destroyed the people who could have saved the country. these same policies ensured that even while he was battling one of the evilest governments in the world, he still could not take advantage of liberating this empire, but would be doomed to not being able to use their power for himself.
Claiming someone is a genius for rising to power is a poor criteria, as it redefines genius to mean powerful.

i'd say neither. He replaced right into a guy with an excellent skills for public speaking, a skills he actively worked at. he also had an innate information of propaganda and a thanks to apply it. He replaced into charismatic, a minimum of to maximum Germans. He replaced into bodily courageous, which replaced right into a sturdy device even as dealing with political enemies(the Nazis were not the in basic terms ones to apply thugs and scuffling with to wrestle different activities). He also truthfully had some psychological subject matters. He replaced into self knowledgeable on many topics, and confirmed no pastime in others. He set about to pass an complete u . s . contained in the direction he needed it to pass, and he succeeded in doing so. regrettably he did so on the cost of wounding or killing those he deemed sub human or unworthy of trouble-free human rights. And by utilising the time the conflict began, he replaced into being pumped complete of poisons and medicines by utilising a quack established practitioner, making his judgements in the course of the conflict years value 1000's of thousands in human lives. (on the different hand, that did help carry the conflict to an end slightly faster). he's an merchandise lesson in both how some distance someone can upward push by utilising their own efforts, and how risky a unmarried guy will be.

It is not necessary that a person is only said to be genius if he/she have degrees with good marks. It is all about the mind. And i think Hitler was a genius as he know how to control the emotions of people and rule over them.

He was not a genius he was a dictator. He was not a good speaker, anyone can stand on a stage and scream death to America, and he was not a good politician, the only reason he stayed in power was by giving people only one choice. Me or death.

Genius referring to his IQ, I believe I have seen papers confirming that. Genius in regards to his rise in power and ability to control his people with propaganda definitely. Genius in regard to how to win the war and/or how to remain in power, definitely not.

No. He was only smarter than the great majority of the German population, which didn't require genius. Only something average by any other standard.

he knew how to brain wash the Germans to believe at Jews were a threat to society.
