Do you agree the idea of conservatism is in a way Social Darwinism?

Update:

Social Darwinists, such as Herbert Spencer and Walter Bagehot in England and William Graham Sumner in the U.S., held that the life of humans in society was a struggle for existence ruled by “survival of the fittest,” in Spencer's words. Wealth was said to be a sign of natural superiority, its absence a sign of unfitness. The theory was used from the late 19th century to support laissez-faire capitalism and political conservatism. Social Darwinism declined as scientific knowledge expanded.

Yes, I posted a question with a quote from the diary of notorious nazi doctor Mengele:

"There's only one truth and one true beauty ... There's no 'good' or 'bad' in nature. There's only 'appropriate' or 'inappropriate' ... Both sides receive equal chances. Nevertheless, nature provides a strainer. Things that are 'inappropriate' fall through since they lose in the struggle for survival."

Y/A conservative crowd seems agreeing with it.

Modern Conservatism in America is essentially right-liberalism. They believe in some social institutions, even if they largely argue for scaling them back somewhat, or slashing their budget. Both mainstream capitalist party's, and their belief in welfare capitalism, distance themselves from any sort of extreme social darwinism.

Minimalists or anarcho-capitalists could probably be called social darwinists, but these group have little-to-no effects on any large section of the conservative movement in America.

Social Darwinism as practiced by the Progressive Liberals is known as eugenics.

  • Free-Market capitalism is:

look at Somalia or Haiti; no market regulation there, and as such, the average citizen may be forced to work hard all day in the burning sun just to earn enough money for a slice of cornbread, as what else is stopping the warlords from paying them more than just enough to survive to work another day for them? hunger becomes the motivation; capitalism is de facto slavery if left unregulated.

Haiti and Somalia are the two most capitalist countries on earth today; no market regulation, everything is privatized (including the armies of warlords) and everything can be sold as a commodity, including slaves and children.

people there are either forced to survive, or die horridly. in capitalism, this is ideal, even if not explicitly proclaimed.

According to Darwin's theory of evolution; conservatives will be nothing but an afterthought in about 100 years.
