7 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoIf McDonalds paid their workers more, would they get better workers and make more money?
or would they simply be overpaying for the value of the service and make less?
12 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years ago3% of the US population receiving disability payments? How is that possible?
The latest numbers showed almost 11 million people in the US on disability
9 AnswersGovernment7 years agoWhen you buy a gallon of gas, does the government or the oil company make more money?
I wonder how much the government gets in taxes vs profits for the company doing the work.
2 AnswersGovernment8 years agoDoes Obama actually believe that "tax cuts" are government spending?
The money was not earned by or does it belong to the Government. In many of his speeches lately he calls tax cuts "spending" of course always referencing "the rich" to push the class warfare angle
8 AnswersElections9 years agoWhat is the true meaning of the word "fair" that Obama likes to use so much?
"Pay their fair share"??? If almost half of the population pays no income tax then how is anything "fair"? If you work and pay taxes you should be upset that any money is being spent that isn't absolutely necessary, if you don't pay taxes then you think raising taxes as much as possible is a good idea.
13 AnswersPolitics9 years agoCongress delays Medicare cut decision for 2 months. How can a 27.4% cut in physician payment be considered?
Many Physicians tell me that they lose money NOW seeing Medicare patients. If there is another cut in reimbursement, how will any doctor be willing to treat Medicare patients? Will the government mandate that doctor treat them in order to keep their licenses?
2 AnswersGovernment9 years agoIf only the truly disabled were eligible for Welfare, wouldn't that make everyone happy?

2 AnswersGovernment9 years agoHow did the concept of "paid" vacation time and "paid" sick days ever start?
Doesn't it make more sense to get paid when you work and to receive nothing if not at work? Did it start just as a way the entice better workers to join a company?

Seems to me that would eliminate the lottery mentality of plaintiffs and their scumbags lawyers
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government10 years agoIf the idea is to tax the rich more, then why not limit it to those that will never feel the effects?
Someone making 250k is not wealthy enough to take an increase without feeling it. Make the cut-off 5-10 million and then only the elite will pay. Why make the average business man or family practice doctor pay more
4 AnswersPolitics10 years agoHas the US reached such a sad state that you win elections by promising to take from one group and give to?
another? Democrats think Republicans take from the poor and give to the rich, while the Republicans think the opposite
3 AnswersGovernment10 years agoIs it basically impossible for the government to cut spending in this day and age?
no matter if you are talking about tax cuts for the wealthy or give aways to welfare recipients, once someone has something from the government they seem to think it can never be eliminated or reduced
7 AnswersGovernment10 years agoShouldn't you feel guilty about making more than 250k per year?
You studied in high school instead of goofing off, you worked your way through college instead of partying, you went to graduate school, law or medical school while others were already starting a family and working. Now you are making a great living. Don't you feel that you got there on the backs of the poor?
14 AnswersPolitics10 years agoYou know you are going to die soon, estate tax is 95%, What do you do with the money earned during your life?
Me, I either give it away or burn it. Definitely don't let the government get a hold on it.
