Does Obama actually believe that "tax cuts" are government spending?

The money was not earned by or does it belong to the Government. In many of his speeches lately he calls tax cuts "spending" of course always referencing "the rich" to push the class warfare angle

Update:

Ken, What percent of the total did the top 2% pay to begin with. Tax cuts logically should go to those that pay taxes.

"Start with the amount of collected tax before President Bush's tax cuts and subtract the amount after the tax cuts. That yields the amount of tax no longer collected."

    OK.. let's do that.

Federal Tax Revenue 2001: $2.0 trillion

Federal Tax Revenue 2008: $2.5 trillion

    Yeah.. that's pretty horrible.

You're not thinking about this clearly. Try this:

Start with the amount of collected tax before President Bush's tax cuts and subtract the amount after the tax cuts. That yields the amount of tax no longer collected. The richest 2% of tax payers got 38% of it.

    Outrageous. Reprehensible.

A dry cleaning establishment starts giving a 50% discount to everyone (they give you a "coupon" at the register if you don't already have one). The business is now running at a loss because the business is spending more than they are taking in.

When the business says that they need to remove the discount, do people complain that the business is now raising prices, unfairly?

You know what's class warfare? People making 20 million a year paying 12% net on taxes while teachers, bus drivers and nurses pay 30% tax.

they don't cancel the programs that are funded by those taxes when the taxes are cut, they take it from somewhere else (another program, loans from china), so it is government spending (interest payed to the loan issuers). our federal budget is not compiled using the accrual method, it is done using the cash method and Social Security & Medicaid aren't even taken into consideration when formulating the budget.

Yea, 'class warfare'... I have to assume from here on out, anyone that says that and blames it on Obama is a brainwashed zombie.

This is what class warfare looks like: http://thebluestates.wordpress.com/2011/10/27/cbo-...

tax cuts are govt spending...especially when people like BUSH make up a budget with "x" amount of money, then cut "x" and not cut anything "x" was going to pay for...then leaving those programs in place with no funding
