All Conures are very territorial...especially when they are nesting and raising their young. Your conure is doing what is natural, protecting their territory and their nest. He is picking up on his wild instincts. This is the primary reason that breeders don't recommend having a "pair" and giving them a box. You probably won't be able to handle your birds again until the all the babies have been removed from your home. Even then, they may need some extra work to bring them back to pet quality birds.

Since the conures are in the house while they are breeding, you really should give them more privacy. If the parent birds get too excited, they could injure the eggs and/or babies.

If you can, you should avoid giving them time out of the cage while they breed, nest and of course while they are raising their young. Also, I would recommend moving the cage to a more private area, i.e. an unused bedroom or enclosed patio.

Source(s): I'm a bird breeder and I raise 4 species of Conures, including the Suns and 10 other species.

I suspect he is protecting his mate. It is time to close up the cage for him. It is ridiculous to live in fear of being injured by a pet. I personally think Sun Conure's are nasty little birds anyway. My daughter had one a few years ago when she lived with me and I really did not like him, they are mean.

The bird is telling you that the bathroom is its territory and you shoulnt enter birds tend to do that they would bite to show its warning to you and if you dont leave it will get worse

Close the cage door so they can't bite you any more. But if you don't close the cage door make a video so we can see and have a good laugh =)
