Why do ppl delete a question a couple days early?

I have gone to a question that says 3 days left and answered it but when I click preview the message comes up that it has been deleted !

Update:

Sorry ABBY I have one account ! I'm not that savy ! I just wish it said deleted before I wasted the time answering b/c I have given a long or thoughtful answer . I am not young - no my space / facebook or any of those things - I spend more time at the va (Army vet) hospital where i'm told I may go blind in one or both eyes & they are trying to save my left leg . I was diabetic before I was old enough to drink legally ! If the only thing that bothers you is ppl who have time to have many accounts & spend all their time on them - then you are lucky to have so much time to devote to catching them & wasting yours ! Go help someone in a wheel chair that may have helped get the rights you think you earned . I joined the women's Army doing Vietnam when the real Army did not want us period - women of Color were never wanted so they set quotes for us ! Happy Black History Feb. !

    1. Like the folks below said ~ they can be removed for several reasons ~ Yahoo Moderators removing something inappropriate, Poster removing question for various reasons ... and I have actually seen technical errors after an update that has actually, and mistakenly, removed questions that had not been posted for long.

    2. Let me just say that when I have done a search on a certain topic, I will see the Yahoo Q/A in the results, but when I click on it, it has been gone, and some of the 411 that showed in the search result would be interesting, so I would be disappointed too. It has happened a few times.

    3. If it helps, you will often find that there are more than one questions on the same topic. So keep searching the main words or titles of the topic that had been removed. Chances are, you will find more just like it!!

4.And may I just say, on behalf of decent human beings ~ try to ignore the response from the user below who was being rude and accusing you of doing something wrong. It is so sad that folks have nothing better to do than accuse someone of something or be nasty. Why bother responding at all? If someone wanted to use several accounts to vote for themselves ~ first of all, they would have to do it on a question THEY asked with one of THEIR OWN users ... not a question that another poster deleted ~ so it makes no sense for this person to be inquiring about a deleted post ... they cannot vote for themselves when another person posted the question. Also, if they wanted to do that ~ they could post 10 questions a day and vote for themselves each time. Not sure how your nasty response is relevant to this persons question.

I'm guilty of that I some times give a best answer before the time is up I guess I should wait the 3 days like it should be I'll try and see to doing better next time!

The question could have been deleted because it violated the rules on YahooAnswers, or the person that asked could have deleted because no one gave a good answer.

because people think that once they have the answer they should delete the question. This is completely untrue, a lot of other people use these Q & A for help. Hope this helps.

people change their mind about the question and delete. they may be embarrassed of the question or just think it was a stupid thing to ask or they may have already found an answer and deleted it

Perhaps, the person was just looking for a quick answer and the subject matter was embarrassing?

I do this if I get too many rude, unhelpful answers or if no one answers. It make me feel like a moron so I delete it.

Yahoo has a lot of kinks that need to be worked out. This happened with one of my questions and it was not inappropriate in any way. Sometimes things get marked as spam and then your question can get deleted.

They can delete their question anytime they want to. It's a chance you take.

Sometimes, the crew at Yahoo delete it because it's inappropriate, or it's deleted because they're being attacked.
