The original people or the first settlers, which do you mean? Settlers met the original people, and the settlers have been many and different. Do you want to go as far back as the glacial period, where there isn't much evidence as proof? Refine your question.

Native Americans were the first people. They originally came from Asia and Arabia about 10,000 years ago.
