that's the place the quadratic formula is supplied in obtainable. Quadratic formula: (-b +/- (sqrt(b² - 4ac))) / 2a enable a = 9, b = -12 and c = 4. Now exchange those into the formula to artwork out x: (12 +/- (sqrt(a hundred and forty four - a hundred and forty four))) / 18 ---> (12 +/- 0) / 18 ---> 12 / 18 ---> 2/3 x = 2/3 :)
