Will the minnesota twins be any good this year with all of the signings they have done?
They signed people like Hudson and Thome .

Yes - the ball park won't be a factor in their PLAY - the only advantage that they can't take with them from the Metrodome is the crowd noise. But they have been built for years on fundamentals - and those skills will work in any environment.
Now, with the additional signings (note: Gomez is no longer on the team - he went to Milwaukee in the trade for JJ Hardy) and trades, I like the everyday line up. Hudson can play second and the addition of Hardy will mean that Punto can be a utility player like he should be. Thome will be a great player off the bench to spell Morneau and/or Kubel. The Twins have been a lefty team for a long time, so that "problem" wasn't addressed, but the defense and lineup have been improved.

Thome makes an already powerful lineup even better with he Morneau and Mauer. Howerver I would be concerned that they are all left handed and the tigers have left handed reilef out of their pen with Bobby Seay, Phil Coke and Daniel Schlereth. Michale Kuddyer is going to be an important part of neutralizing the left handed talent out of the Tigers' bullpen and. O'Dog can leadoff and get things done he's a good veteran player and can help set up that lineup. Or you can lead off with Carlos Gomez or Denard Span and hit O'Dog second. He fits in either top spot. Tigers may have an advantage pitching wise with Verlander, Porcello, and Galarraga in their rotation But the Twins do appear to have the better offensive lineup.
The other team the White Sox may be lacking the power that the Twins have as well as without Thome and Dye, and With Godon Beckham in the second year of his career The power will have to come from Paul Konerko and Carlos Quentin . Juan Pierre may help to set up that lineup but I think he will play sparingly as a fourth outfielder and Dewayne Wise will have to step it up offensively as a centerfielder if he is to start there with Quentin in right and Andru Jones in left. Jones needs to come up with the numbers he had in Atlanta a few years ago but it remains to be seen. Twins and white sox are pretty evenly matched in teh bullpen with Nathan and Jenks as closers and Linebrink sets up Jenks for the White Sox. But again the Twins have the advantage offensively. So think they can still win teh Central even in a new park but it will have to be up to the starting pitching to step it up

And don't forget Hardy at SS. Plus, they are very likely to resign Mauer, which means he can concentrate on playing.
I think they run away with the division and am even going out on a limb this early in the year and say they will make the World Series.

I usually doubt the Twins. I always think they'll have a mediocre, okay year. Like 75-83 wins. They've surprised me the past few years. I don't have them making the playoffs, but they got a great chance.

In terms of what? Of winning the division? Yes. Just hope they don't have to face the Yankees in the postseason.

on road yes,
but at home ,, we will have to wait and see.
Thome is a Tiger Killer so that is plus.

On the road they will be very good but it is hard to say how they will do at home with the new stadium and the whole temperature change it is going to be

Yes. It remains to be seen how their new ballpark will play but the team looks pretty good.
