Height of the triangle?
A square and a triangle have equal areas, If a side of the square is 10 inches and the base of the triangle is 10 inches, what is the height of the triangle, I wasnt looking for the answer so much, as I was looking for someone to explain how to complete the problem

The area of the square (and thus the triangle) is 100 inches square.
The formula for determining the area of a triangle is
A = 1/2 * base * height
or, with suitable notation
A = bh/2
With the base b = 10 inches, we have
10h/2 = 100
5h = 100
h = 20 inches.
