i need to lose some weight just so that i am healthier. so how would i lose 20 pounds in like a month?

Loosing 20 pounds in a month is extremely UNHEALTHY! Proper weight loss should not exceed about 2 pounds or so per week. Loosing more than that will usually result in loosing muscle rather than fat. The best way to loose weight realistically is to eat a balanced diet, not skipping meals esp breakfast and work out a minimum of 30 minutes per day. Cardio workouts will burn calories and get your heart rate up while weight lifting will burn fat and will continue to burn calories for several days after working out.
