Why would Congress continue to go about business as usual given these job approval numbers?

Its been shown many times that voters disapprove of the way congress handles their job.

At the same time they show that they approve of their congresspeople, they feel its the other congresspeople who are failing.

What a poll like this doesn't show is if people are dissatisfied because they can't get the changes they were promised, or if they don't now want what they voted for a year ago.

Are they just disgusted with the backbitings and want them all to behave like adults and get together and run the country?

The majority of the country isn't anywhere near as partisan as Congress is, and they can't quite get whats going on between Obama and the Republicans.

The main problem in America is the Progressive movement. They will be democrats or republicans.

They want to make a new America, and to do this they MUST destroy, or almost destroy the old one.

That means the constitution needs to go. Government must control all large business, banks, railroads, insurance, real estate, medical, retirement, the media, etc.

They have been chipping away at this for the last 60 years. Slowly, so people do not notice.

Congress will continue to ignore the so called general public, because they know better then we do.

They firmly believe what they are doing is the right thing for the country.

Obama you will see, is slowly backing away from these ideals, probably until after the Nov elections.

Many Democrats will seem OK, until after Nov, same as many Republicans.

You will be able to tell by their votes, though, and you really need to get them out of power.

If America fails to do this, and do it quickly, I fear there will be a drastically different America emerge, and this will effect the whole world. Economics, and security of the whole world will depreciate.
