Shouldn't Clinton have sought Medical treatment From Canada?

Canadian officials seek heart health professionals in the United States. Shouldn't our people go to Canada to show support for the Health Care system they wish to provide us with.

    They are exempt from it....

And this is not about who can afford it....the person that said that is wrong. When the bill bozo proposed was going to be 13,000 per person ...that is affordable? CBO says it is not.

McCain's proposal made more sense and it was REFORM! You want people to pay for it in government health care then why not pay for it without government controlling it.?

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., proposed capping the tax exclusion for health benefits. By capping the allowed deduction of health care costs at $565 per month for an individual and $1,440 for a family, the government would save $452 billion over 10 years.

FLEMING a democrat offered this and they turned it down.

    FLEMING HEALTH CARE REFORM UPDATE

Update on H.Res 615: Call on Members of Congress to Enroll in the Public Option

    H. Res. 615, my resolution calling on Members of Congress to enroll in the public option

Like many of you, I am deeply concerned that Congress will press forward to enact an intrusive government administered health care plan, despite the higher costs and lowered level of care other countries with similar systems have experienced.

You will be pleased to know that more than 100 Members of Congress joined in support of H. Res. 615, my common sense measure calling on Members who vote for an intrusive government-administered health care plan to enroll in that system. Since launching this effort, nearly 3 million Americans like you have contacted my office in support of H. Res. 615. In response I offered an amendment to the Democratic Leadership health care bill to automatically enroll all Members of Congress and all Senators in the public option. Predictably, my amendment was rejected out of hand by the Majority and was not given a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Common sense seems to have failed us in the health care debate. That is why I offered a resolution asking Members of Congress to put their “money where their mouth is” and call for Members who support a public option lead by example and be required to enroll in the public option themselves. If a Member is willing to vote for such an option, why shouldn’t they enroll in it?

THE DOCTOR’S DIAGNOSIS: There is no doubt about it; health care in America must be reformed. The answer, however, is not an intrusive government administered health care plan. As a practicing physician for over 30 years, I am concerned that the kind of “reform” being debated back and forth on Capitol Hill will insert Washington bureaucrats between patients and their doctors, burden the middle class with new taxes, and raise insurance premiums for almost everyone. That is unacceptable “reform.” I will continue to work to represent you and to bring common sense back to this debate.

PIP..you make a good point...but bozo's health care does not address that either.

Health care will be rationed. Only 5,000 PER INDIVIDUAL A YEAR and 10,000 per family

HOW do you prevent things on that?

    Page 30

A committee will decide what treatment and benefits you will receive AGAIN...not preventative medicine

page 42 Health care commissioner will decide on those benefits WHEN HE GETS TO IT

page 50 Health care will be provided for ALL NON U.S CITIZENS ILLEGAL OR NOT

this will show you more about it. AND you can look it up to make sure it is right!

NON MAJOR SURGERY? Just because they can do it without cutting you open does not mean this is not major!

This is indeed an immediate surgery and a major one. It is commonplace but messing with the heart and risking blood clots in doing it is not something to sneeze at. Hubby had two stints..and where it seemed simple enough...listen to the doctor...it is not simple.! Even after it is done it is not something that you get up and get over in a couple days !

This is a fallacious argument. You ignore the fact that we are talking about systems with different focuses. Preventative medicine versus post-facto fixes has been debated many times. The fact is, if our people lived under the Canadian system, far, far fewer would need extreme measures such as transplants or open heart surgery. Our system is the best at fixing something that is broken, no doubt. But it is one of the worst at preventing it from breaking in the first place. All we are asking for is a little more focus on prevention. Not a full focus, just more than there is now. That is not too much to ask for.

Much like the Canadian minister, Clinton has great coverage. What people in the US are looking for is affordable coverage so they too can go to a cardiologist when they feel a pain in the chest.

That's something you don't have the luxury of doing when you have no insurance. When you have no insurance, or high deductibles, you wait, see if it goes away, and sometimes you go away instead.

    Permanently.

Go seek medical treatment regardless of wht your husband thinks. It's your body, and only you are the one who knows when something isn't feeling right with it.

If you think any politician get the same type of care a regular person gets you are certifiably insane.

Even here in Canada they get special care.

Politicians don't suffer what the rank and file do. There are even specially funded hospitals for them.

He wanted to live. So he went to an American hospital. Just like millions of middle and low-class people do every day. The system works. With a little tweak here and there it could work better. 0bamas' plan has never been about better care, it's always been about power. Grabbing power from the people so the government can dictate who gets care and when they get it. When that happens, the people will finally be under the Libs boot.

No not unless an emgr because it would look bad for them if he died there as if their medical team is not good enough but I think we need their plan in the US

The debate about health care is not about who has the best QUALITY of care if you can afford it. It's ALWAYS been about how to make sure that as many people as possible can afford our already-excellent health care.

Clinton can already afford the best health care. Millions of people in this country cannot.

Clinton should have put his name on a list for diagnosis in Britain, and then put his name on another list for treatment. Then Hillary could finally bury him.
